Position Purpose: Analyze and evaluate purchasing data and market information to provide support and direction for Procurement strategies, initiatives and procedures. Provide analytical support focusing on competitive bidding and sole source supplier negotiations. As a Strategic Sourcing Analyst on our Procurement Analytics team, you will: • Perform data analysis to develop improved strategic sourcing strategies • Prepare quarterly and ad hoc procurement KPI reports for the leadership team • Review and analyze supplier pricing structures to identify opportunities for cost reduction • Conduct supplier price and cost analysis to develop financial models for use in negotiations • Prepare forecasts, scenarios and other factors concerning the supply market and publish reports and recommendations for key vendor negotiations • Maintain an enterprise-wide spend analytics database and queries to establish an understanding of spend by category, supplier and purpose. • Develop and maintain internal relationships with key stakeholders to analyze needs and identify opportunities to improve existing vendor relationships Why this role is appealing: • Project-Based Focus: Ideal for those looking to break away from structured closing and reporting cycles and engage in more strategic, project-driven work. • Cross-Functional Exposure: Gain visibility across internal customer teams who are end users of the products and services we procure. • Strategic Procurement Support: Assist category managers in analyzing vendor proposals from negotiations and RFPs, and validate savings per established guidelines. Education/Experience: • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or a related field. • 4+ years of financial analysis, budgeting, or accounting experience. • Healthcare industry experience. • Experience with MS Office and PeopleSoft preferred. Highly preferred: • Advanced Excel – XLOOKUP, SUMIFS, Pivot Tables • Qlik or other data visualization tools (Tableau, PowerBI) Applicants for this role have the flexibility to work remotely from home anywhere within the Continental United States. Due to the needs of the business, ideal schedule is Eastern or Central Standard Time. Pay Range: $68,700.00 - $123,700.00 per year Centene offers a comprehensive benefits package including: competitive pay, health insurance, 401K and stock purchase plans, tuition reimbursement, paid time off plus holidays, and a flexible approach to work with remote, hybrid, field or office work schedules. Actual pay will be adjusted based on an individual's skills, experience, education, and other job-related factors permitted by law, including full-time or part-time status. Total compensation may also include additional forms of incentives. Benefits may be subject to program eligibility.
