Full Description

Position Purpose: Designs and builds relational databases for data storage or processing. Develops strategies for warehouse implementation, data acquisition and access, and data archiving and recovery. Builds data models and defines the structure, attributes and nomenclature of data elements. Evaluates new data sources for adherence to the organization's quality standards and ease of integration. May also support designs of relational databases for data storage or processing. Enforces enterprise information standards, guidelines, and principles Guides AI Data initiatives directly tied to healthcare clinical applications and user flows. Provides subject matter expertise regarding information architecture Technology and AI selection of appropriate AI frameworks technology and infrastructure needs. Develops and enforces the data architecture standards, working with Business, Application, and Operations counterparts to assure data integrity and consistency. Develop enterprise-wide AI architectures and strategies that align with organizational objectives, focusing on specific solutions like Generative AI or agentic AI applications. Develops and maintains documentation that maps data models to information systems and business applications Validates and fixes information management issues related to data quality framework (completeness, accuracy, availability, timeliness, consistency, etc.) Stores and maintains business and technical data definitions (e.g., in a metadata repository) Manages data dictionary to improve documentation and coordination Assists in building of enterprise architecture information blueprints and data models that illustrate how information is stored, processed, and accessed in the enterprise Leads data architecture, data sourcing, data flow, and solution discussions for data initiatives Participates in enterprise information architecture discussions around needs and alignment to enterprise goals Collaborates on data-related business requirements and perform data architecture reviews Performs other duties as assigned Complies with all policies and standards Education/Experience: A Bachelor's degree in a quantitative or business field (e.g., statistics, mathematics, engineering, computer science) and requires deep functional and Centene specific knowledge with 6 – 8 years of related experience. Or equivalent experience acquired through accomplishments of applicable knowledge, duties, scope and skill reflective of the level of this position. Technical Skills: One or more of the following skills are desired. Experience with Extract Transform Load (ETL); Microsoft SQL Servers; Oracle Database Management System (DBMS); Python; Unix Operating System Experience with Other: Snowflake, PowerDesigner, AWS Technologies, HealthCare Knowledge, Python Experience with Other: Data Catalog, Metadata, Lineage tools and usage: Alation, Manta Knowledge of Business Intelligence Knowledge of Other: Streaming data ingest tools and platforms: Informatica, Talend, Kafka, AWS Glue, Matillion, SSIS Soft Skills: Advanced - Seeks to acquire knowledge in area of specialty Advanced - Ability to identify basic problems and procedural irregularities, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions Advanced - Ability to work independently Advanced - Demonstrated analytical skills Advanced - Demonstrated project management skills Advanced - Demonstrates a high level of accuracy, even under pressure Advanced - Demonstrates excellent judgment and decision making skills Advanced - Ability to communicate and make recommendations to upper management Advanced - Ability to drive multiple projects to successful completion Advanced - Possesses technical aptitude Pay Range: $143,100.00 - $264,300.00 per year Centene offers a comprehensive benefits package including: competitive pay, health insurance, 401K and stock purchase plans, tuition reimbursement, paid time off plus holidays, and a flexible approach to work with remote, hybrid, field or office work schedules. Actual pay will be adjusted based on an individual's skills, experience, education, and other job-related factors permitted by law, including full-time or part-time status. Total compensation may also include additional forms of incentives. Benefits may be subject to program eligibility.
