Position Purpose: Represent Data Governance through monitoring Data Ownership & Stewardship structure, evaluate and remediate Data Quality issues, curating the data catalog with data domain/system related definitions and knowledge, and lead owners and stewards in implementing key Data Governance initiatives as part of the business initiatives. Support foundational data governance activities while developing technical and analytical skills. Apply data stewardship principles, perform basic data profiling, and contribute to data catalog curation. Provides customer support through knowledge of business objectives and timely and accurate completion of work product as directed by manager Performs data analysis through development of code for data domain related needs Develops presentations through delivery of results to the internal teams Produces curation of data catalog for data domain Assist in curating metadata and definitions in the enterprise data catalog Perform basic data profiling and quality checks using SQL or similar tools Support data stewards in documenting ownership and lineage Develop simple queries and reports to support governance initiatives Participate in training on data governance tools and frameworks Collaborate with analysts and business users to understand data needs Performs other duties as assigned. Complies with all policies and standards. Education/Experience: A Bachelor's degree in a quantitative or business field (e.g., statistics, mathematics, engineering, computer science) and requires 0 – 2 years of related experience. Or equivalent experience acquired through accomplishments of applicable knowledge, duties, scope and skill reflective of the level of this position. Or completion of a Centene-sponsored emerging talent program. Beginner SQL or Python, familiarity with Excel, Power BI, or Tableau, exposure to data quality tools and metadata management platforms preferred. Demonstrated contribution to data quality or governance initiatives is preferred. Experience with Governance principle and applying concepts like data stewardship, metadata management, or compliance requirements is preferred Pay Range: $26.50 - $47.59 per hour Centene offers a comprehensive benefits package including: competitive pay, health insurance, 401K and stock purchase plans, tuition reimbursement, paid time off plus holidays, and a flexible approach to work with remote, hybrid, field or office work schedules. Actual pay will be adjusted based on an individual's skills, experience, education, and other job-related factors permitted by law, including full-time or part-time status. Total compensation may also include additional forms of incentives. Benefits may be subject to program eligibility.
