What Sets Celink Apart Flexible, remote work environment that supports work‑life balance • Supportive, collaborative team culture built on respect and partnership • Opportunities to learn, build skills, and contribute to meaningful outcomes • Emphasis on quality, consistency, and reliable support in everyday work Total Rewards & Benefits Celink offers a comprehensive and competitive total rewards package designed to support employees’ financial, physical, and emotional well‑being, including: • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage with multiple plan options • Health Savings Account (HSA) and Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA), including dependent care • 401(k) with employer match and immediate vesting • Employer‑paid life insurance, disability coverage, and parental leave • Generous paid time off, paid holidays, and flexible work arrangements Duties and responsibilities Responsibilities include: • Manage the operations and staff of the Custodial Accounting team ensuring accounting practices and controls are followed • Direct the transaction processing operations of custodial accounting • Review and approve in the accounting and banking system all accounts payable and account receivable invoices and cash disbursements and receipts • Reconcile unresolved transactions general ledger accounts daily to ensure resolution of outstanding items within compliance standards • Direct and review servicing loss and recovery transactions between corporate and custodial accounting • Prepare or review and approve custodial bank reconciliations on scheduled frequency • Coordinate and perform month-end close processes to allow for timely and accurate reporting • Review and investigate significant issues as requested by SVP, Accounting • Participate in cross company requests timely and cooperate with partners across departments • Maintain a documented system of accounting policies, procedures and controls • Accountable for ensuring internal controls are present and functioning • Adopt a lean approach to processes and procedures so the team is operating at a constant high degree of efficiency. • Assist in Identification, implementation, and testing of system enhancements that reduce operational risk, create operating efficiency, or improve customer service • Perform any other related duties as required or assigned • Less than 10% travel to onsite office in Lansing, MI Minimum Qualifications Education: • Bachelor’s degree required in accounting, finance, or a related field or equivalent experience • Minimum of 5-8 years of applicable experience in with increased responsibilities over time. • Experience with Custodial accounting, as well as experience in the mortgage industry is preferred Experience/Training: • Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) • Management skills supporting achievement of deliverable deadlines • Experience managing others is a preferred Professional Certification/License: • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or similar designation preferred Skills and Abilities: • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to distill complex analyses into structured outputs and present to staff and management. • Effective project management skills. Possesses critical thinking and decision-making, analytical problem solving, business astuteness, and process orientation skills. • Independent, self-starter; able to set agenda and drive progress with little direction. • Superior organization & attention to detail. Ability to multi-task and synthesize multiple perspectives to get the most important thing done. • Demonstrated and strong interpersonal skills. Ability to interact effectively with external (vendors/auditors) and internal clients across departments and locations. • Ability to solve problems, while recognizing opportunities, understanding risk and acting quickly to overcome obstacles and reach a solution. • Ability to organize, prioritize, and distribute workload for optimum efficiency • Ability to motivate staff to achieve their goals. Flexibility to engage remote team members to perform at their best. Working Conditions Work may be performed in a professional office or home office environment with no unusual hazards. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, headsets, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
