Position Title Volunteer - Cap the Gap Initiative Manager (Program & Development Lead) Organization: Celebrating One Program: No Grad Left Behind – Cap the Gap Initiative Service Area: Franklin County and surrounding communities including Columbus Position Overview The Cap the Gap Initiative Manager is responsible for the full annual execution of Celebrating One’s signature graduation equity program. This role oversees planning, school partnerships, fundraising campaigns, donor stewardship, procurement coordination, financial tracking collaboration, impact reporting, and annual evaluation. This position manages the initiative from July planning through June–July evaluation, ensuring students receive caps and gowns in time for graduation while maintaining responsible financial management and strong donor engagement. This is a high-ownership role requiring independent leadership, strategic thinking, and strong project management skills. Core Responsibilities 1. Annual Program Planning (July) 2. School Partnership & Request Management (August – April) 3. Fundraising & Community Campaign Management 4. Procurement & Distribution (January – May) 5. Financial Oversight (In Collaboration with Treasurer) 6. Donor Stewardship & Recognition 7. Monitoring & Evaluation Minimum Qualifications Experience in nonprofit program management, fundraising, or community development Demonstrated project management experience Strong written communication skills (grant writing experience preferred) Experience managing timelines and multiple stakeholders Comfortable working independently in a startup nonprofit environment Commitment to educational equity Preferred: Experience working with schools or youth-serving programs Experience with donor CRM systems Minimum Hours Required Because this role oversees a full annual cycle: Year-Round Average: 20 hours per week Seasonal Breakdown July (Planning): 15–20 hrs/week August–December (Peak Campaign): 20–25 hrs/week January–May (Procurement + Stewardship): 15–20 hrs/week June–July (Evaluation): 10–15 hrs/week
