About The Field Applications Engineer is responsible for being the technical experts in the field of metal detectors. As an expert the position is expected to carry out technical support activities, train, and support sales. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. • Provide technical trainings/re-certifications to internal employees, customers, and commercial partners. • Assists in the design, development, implementation, and evaluation of technical training programs for internal teams, external partners, and equipment end-users. • Assist the Technical and Sales teams with presentations and tradeshows as required. • Provide technical support for all current and potential key account customers • Assist the Technical and Sales teams with custom solutions for new potential business. • Assist with the development and maintenance of internal documents and procedures • Create reports documenting results of trials, customer interactions, and other relevant technical matters • Perform on-site installation and training of new and legacy equipment. • Develop relationships with key account customers and obtain crucial technical feedback • Work closely with the T&M and SI Labs to test, certify, and develop standards, test items and equipment, and provide product feedback. • Assist in the management of department documents and SharePoint site. • Maintain thorough knowledge of all company products. • Completes special projects as assigned. Preferred Qualifications • Thorough knowledge of the Company's products • Experience creating presentations, training materials, and job aids is preferred. • Experience with classroom facilitation for technical and non-technical training is preferred. If working remote, the employee will need to have access to an office setting. When traveling to customer sites, the employee will encounter various environments based on the application. • Exposures Encountered: Employee may encounter loud noise or extreme heat/cold within the various applications supported. • Essential Physical Requirements: This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, twisting, and climbing all day. Specific vision abilities are required by this position that include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. • Working Hours: Employee will be required to work weekends, nights, or be on-call as a regular part of the job. • Driver’s license and ability to maintain a driving record that is satisfactory to the Company’s liability insurance carrier is required.
