Role Description The Product Development Manager for the Tabletop & Ceramics division is a hybrid, full-time role located in Brooklyn, NY. This position works under the Home Product Team umbrella and assists the Product Development Lead in the end-to-end development process of various seasonal and everyday ceramic tabletop collections. This includes but is not limited to ceramic mugs and other serveware items. This role partners primarily with Design, but also cross-functionally with Sales, Sourcing, Production, and overseas teams. This role will focus on managing resources, costing, art direction/guidance for development, and day-to-day project needs in support of the Product Development Lead. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, proactive, efficient, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. They have experience developing home products, with expertise in ceramic techniques and embellishments. Key Responsibilities • Product & Packaging Development - Partner with the Product Development Lead to provide artwork guidance and direction to Design for the development of new ceramic products as well as packaging materials. • Sample Review – Support the review and organization of physical samples in the office, providing feedback and notes when reviewing samples against the approved tech pack. • Production Notes – Assist with the setup and preparation of production notes (tech packs) for each product by providing accurate specifications. This includes reviewing and proofing the production artwork provided by Design. • Costing & RFQs - Manage quote sheets for development by setting up new RFQs, requesting and gathering completed quotes from relevant vendors, and maintaining organized, up-to-date costing information in the correct folders. • Overseas Vendor Communication – Assist with communication with factories and overseas teams to ensure smooth and accurate sampling, including providing timely feedback and direction. • PD & Design Resource Management - Maintain key resource libraries, ensuring they are accurate, organized, current, and easily accessible. This includes product format templates, vendor dielines, production note (tech pack) templates, CAD/mold files, glaze swatches, and hangtag/packaging material libraries. • Buyer Meeting Support – Help organize presentations and samples in preparation for buyer meetings. Take clear and detailed notes during meetings, including buyer feedback, selections, and action items. Qualifications • At least 3-4 years of experience in product development, merchandising, or a related role. • Tabletop, ceramics, or home product experience preferred. • Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines. • Experience working with overseas vendors. • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. • Strong written and verbal communication skills. • Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint required.
