Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Collision Technician to join our automotive repair team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for restoring vehicles to their original condition after collisions or damage, ensuring safety, quality, and customer satisfaction. Your expertise in auto body repair, welding, fabrication, and vehicle maintenance will be essential to delivering exceptional service. Duties • Assess vehicle damage thoroughly and develop effective repair plans aligned with manufacturer specifications and safety standards • Perform collision repairs including panel replacement, sheet metal work, sanding, priming, auto painting, and finishing with precision and attention to detail • Utilize MIG welding, soldering, and various welding techniques to restore structural integrity of vehicle frames and body parts • Operate power tools, hand tools, airless paint sprayers, and other equipment safely and efficiently during repairs • Fabricate custom parts or modify existing components using sheet metal working techniques to ensure perfect fitment • Conduct auto glass replacement and repairs while maintaining high quality standards for safety and appearance • Assist with auto restoration projects by performing mechanical repairs, auto body work, detailing, and assembly tasks as needed • Maintain a clean and organized workspace while adhering to safety protocols for heavy lifting and tool handling • Collaborate with customer service teams to communicate repair progress and ensure customer satisfaction throughout the process Qualifications • Proven dealership or automotive repair shop experience as a Collision Technician or similar role • Strong mechanical knowledge combined with hands-on experience in auto body repair, auto painting, auto glass installation, and auto estimating • Skilled in MIG welding, soldering, fabrication of sheet metal parts, and the use of power tools and hand tools • Knowledge of vehicle maintenance procedures and automotive repair techniques • Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently in a physically demanding environment • Familiarity with auto restoration projects is a plus • Excellent attention to detail with a focus on quality workmanship • Effective communication skills to work collaboratively with team members and customers • Valid certifications in welding or auto body repair are advantageous but not mandatory Join our team as a Collision Technician if you’re eager to apply your skills in a lively environment dedicated to excellence!
