Full Description

Essential Functions and Primary Duties • Lead engagement team and directly interact with clients and family office personnel to ensure communication and coordination of timely service • Successfully develop, nurture and manage client relationships by consistently providing clients timely and appropriate communication and services in relation to their needs • Be viewed as trusted personal and business advisor by clients • Direct multiple engagements which include consulting, compliance, and tax planning services • Consult with client service team to design, communicate and implement innovative planning ideas for clients • Guide and manage IRS and state audits • Participate and actively contribute to new business development activities, including prospecting, networking and representing CBIZ at industry and related events • Design and deliver technical training on Individual related tax topics • Recruit, supervise, train, develop and motivate less experienced team members • Promote a team environment; demonstrate support of management decisions and builds a positive culture • Contribute to management of internal tax department through committee membership and group leader responsibilities • Perform other responsibilities as necessary Preferred Qualifications • Master's degree in Taxation or Accounting strongly preferred • Comprehensive tax planning and consulting experience and demonstrated expertise in taxation and knowledge of federal and state tax laws and regulation • Demonstrated success providing consultative service to high-net-worth individuals and families • Market leading technical expertise in individual taxation with a strong working knowledge of trust, estate and gift taxation • An ability to effectively present information and appropriately respond to questions from clients and team members • A track record of successful new business development experience • Excellent analytical, supervisory, organizational, and written and verbal communication skills necessary • Experience and continued interest in developing and mentoring junior team members • Proficiency in MS Word, Outlook and Excel Minimum Qualifications • Bachelor's degree • 10 years of experience in public accounting or related field • 10 years supervisory experience • Must have active CPA or equivalent certification • Ability to manage deadlines, work on multiple assignments and prioritize each assignment as necessary • Proficient use of applicable technology • Demonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing throughout all levels of organization, both internally and externally • Proven high level of business integrity, client service and leadership skills • Must be able to travel based on client and business needs #LI-DE1 #LI-Hybrid ABOUT US CBIZ Inc. is a leading professional services advisor to middle market businesses and organizations nationwide.
