Overview JOB TITLE: Business Analyst Specialist CAYUSE COMPANY: Cayuse Civil Services, LLC LOCATION Remote in Austin TX SALARY: $108,888-$155,563.20 EMPLOYEE TYPE: Full-Time Salary Exempt TRAVEL No RELOCATION No Employment in this role is conditional upon successful execution of the contract by the client. The Work The Business Analyst Specialist serves as a key liaison between technical teams, business stakeholders, and government clients, providing critical analysis to define and refine business requirements, processes, and solutions. This role is responsible for ensuring that business goals are articulated clearly and translated into actionable plans that meet contractual obligations. The Business Analyst Specialist plays a vital role throughout the lifecycle of government projects, including requirements gathering, solution analysis, and process optimization. Responsibilities Develops, manages, and implements the WIC MIS requirements documentation project plan. Coordinates all project activities, including reviewing the current MIS, translating current MIS functionality into usable system requirements, gathering and documenting business needs and system requirements, and performing a gap analysis of existing system documentation against federal, state and program requirements. Utilizes project management methodologies to develop a plan for the creation and documentation of business requirements for the existing WIC MOSAIC system, ensuring accuracy and effective communication with leadership and relevant stakeholders. Provides support, direction and guidance to team members in analyzing current systems and supporting documentation to develop business requirements and conducting a gap analysis of existing system functionality documentation against current documentation and program requirements. Develops expertise and assist team members in developing expertise in the assigned application, obtain stakeholder sign-off on requirements and priorities, (20%) Collaborates daily with team members to monitor progress, proactively identify issues, and report status. Qualifications Here’s What You Need 10 years Business analysis experience, including requirements elicitation and documentation. 10 years of Project Management Framework. 10 years of knowledge of large-scale IT operations and information technology industry trends. 10 years of defining all types of requirements, functional specifications, and other deliverables. 10 years of interpersonal relationships, ability to negotiate among multiple parties, resolve conflicts, and maintain effective working relationships with various levels of personnel. 10 years with the ability to create clear, complete, and actionable requirements documentation. 10 years with the ability to ensure accuracy in documenting system functionality and regulatory requirements. Must be able to pass a background check. May require additional background checks as required by projects and/or clients at any time during employment. Minimum Skills: Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate in a clear, professional, and articulate manner. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. Possesses effective presentation skills Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with high-level attention to detail. Proven ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast past environment with changing priorities; adaptable to change and a quick learner. Must be self-motivated and able to work well independently as well as on a multi-functional team. Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately Proficient in MS Office, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel. Preferred Qualifications Graduation from a four-year college or university with major coursework in business, communications, computer science, computer information systems, management information systems, or a related field. 8 year of experience in interpersonal relationships, negotiate among multiple parties, resolve conflicts, and maintain effective working relationships with various levels of personnel. Minimum 5 years of experience working with government regulations or compliance frameworks.
