Job Summary: Oral Surgery Associates is a 6-doctor, 5-location practice proudly serving patients across the Greater Lansing area, Ionia and Grand Rapids. We are a fast-paced, patient-centered oral surgery practice seeking a motivated and adaptable Front Desk Patient Coordinator to join our team. We are seeking a detail-oriented, proactive, and friendly Front Desk Associate to join our busy oral surgery practice. This role is essential in ensuring the front office operates smoothly both on patient care days and administrative days. The ideal candidate. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in a medical or dental setting, exhibit pristine customer service skills, is organized, tech-savvy, a strong communicator, and excel at switching between tasks efficiently in a dynamic and high-speed environment. Key Responsibilities: · Greet patients warmly and professionally at the front desk · Answer incoming phone calls and schedule patient appointments across multiple locations · Enter and update patient information accurately in the practice management system · Verify patient insurance prior to appointments and ensure all necessary documentation is obtained · Confirm that all x-rays, referrals, and medical clearances are received and organized in advance of the patient’s visit · Provide exception service to patients, referring offices, and team members Qualifications: · Prior experience in a medical or dental office setting preferred. · Knowledge of insurance verification and patient billing is a strong plus. · Proficiency with electronic health records and scheduling systems is a plus · Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems and basic office software. · Strong multitasking skills, organizational skills and attention to detail · Ability to work effectively in a high-volume, team orientated environment · Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as interpersonal skills. · Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions. Schedule · Full time, 5 days a week Physical Requirements: · Must be able to sit or stand for extended periods. · May require occasional lifting of light office materials or charts (up to 20 lbs).
