Full Description

(This position is subject to the Export Control Laws, which requires employees to be one of the following: (a) a citizen of the United States; (b) a lawful permanent resident of the United States; or (c) a person admitted into the United States as an asylee or refugee) Summary of Position Maintains production and quality by ensuring operation of machinery and mechanical equipment and facilities. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Include the following. Other duties may be assigned. • Conducts majority of Preventative Maintenance on Cascade Gasket machinery and equipment...utilizing the maintenance software. • Troubleshoot mechanical/electrical/pneumatic/ hydraulic systems using schematics and technical drawings. • Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listening for problems; using precision measuring and testing instruments. • Removes defective parts by dismantling devices; using hoists, cranes, and hand and power tools; examining form and texture of parts. • Repair production equipment, fixtures, systems, conveyors and other equipment at facility as required. • Modify, lubricate, diagnose, and operate equipment. Maintain industrial control system. · Controls downtime by informing production workers of routine preventive maintenance techniques; monitoring compliance. • Work independently and with other team members to complete repairs timely and safely. · Responsible for conforming to the company’s quality system procedures as documented. · Performs other duties as assigned. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Two-three year of responsible experience in building and mechanical equipment maintenance and repair preferred; or an acceptable equivalent experience in other journeyman and mechanic fields. Solid skill in the use of hand and power tools. QUALIFICATIONS · Highly skilled with hands (Mechanics, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, etc.). · Very High mechanical aptitude is mandatory. · Some experience welding and fabricating preferred. · Ability to be ON-Call during other sifts. · Able to express basic electronic, mechanical, pneumatics and hydraulic principles used in electrical and mechanical maintenance technician work assignments. · Able to follow all safety guidelines and procedures. · To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily. · Good verbal/written communication and customer service skills. · Highly disciplined, problem-solver, logical thinking, troubleshooting team player with a strong work ethic. · Ability to add, subtracts, multiply, and divides in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to interpret miscellaneous drawings and schematics. · Ability to operate both forklifts and scissor lifts. · Comfortable with heights. · A high sense of Urgency and responsibility is required.
