Business Analyst - Strategy & Analytics Department: Strategy Employment Type: Full Time Location: Boston, MA Reporting To: Sam Kornstein Compensation: $85,000 - $105,000 / year Description About Cartesian Cartesian is a specialist consulting firm with over 35 years of experience serving the global telecommunications, media, and technology (TMT) sectors. Role Overview We are seeking a Business Analyst to join our Strategy & Analytics team! In this role, you’ll collaborate on 2–5-person project teams to conduct research, develop strategies, and summarize key findings and recommendations for our clients. You’ll partner with team members to develop data-driven insights through robust analyses, executive presentations, and effective storytelling – all in a fast-paced, collaborative, and fun environment! Skills, Knowledge and Expertise What You’ll Bring 0–3 years of relevant experience in a strategy and/or analytics role Bachelor’s degree with a preference for quantitative course work Passion for problem-solving and working with data Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate plans and execute well-documented analyses Effective time management skills and the ability to proactively set and execute priorities Proficiency with Excel Proficiency in conducting well-sourced research Additional Skills We Value Exposure to consulting and/or working with client stakeholders Experience working on projects in the TMT (Technology, Media, & Telecommunications) industry Exposure building businesses cases and/or financial models Familiarity with tools such as SQL, Python, or Alteryx Familiarity with PowerPoint Degree in Business, Economics or related Ability to produce and present client-ready, executive-level deliverables What We Offer - Competitive compensation and performance-based bonuses - Learning & development programs and mentorship - Exposure to high-impact projects - Volunteer events that support giving back to our local communities - Weekly company-sponsored team social - Annual summer party, holiday party, and other fun events
