Vice President, Technology and Product | Confidential Search Remote (Eastern or Central time zone) $228K to $250K base + 15% bonus potential Build the platform physicians rely on to stay current. Carterwill Search is partnering with an established digital healthcare platform that helps physicians and healthcare professionals stay current with medical research, news, and continuing education. Backed by a well-capitalized global parent company, the business is now evolving from a content publisher into a data-driven physician engagement platform, and it needs a leader who can own that transformation end to end. This is a combined engineering and product leadership role. You will set the roadmap, make the architecture calls, and lead a lean, cross-functional team across engineering, product, and data science. You will have executive sponsorship, a direct line to the C-suite, and board-level visibility. What You'll Do • Own the technology and product roadmap, tying engineering priorities to specific growth targets and timelines • Architect first-party data infrastructure, including CDP, identity resolution, and unified user profiles • Ship real-time personalization and recommendation features driven by behavioral signals • Build the experimentation backbone: A/B testing, feature flags, and hypothesis-driven development • Lead AI/ML initiatives for content intelligence, summarization, tagging, and engagement prediction • Evolve a legacy publishing stack incrementally while innovating on the platform roadmap • Evaluate, select, and integrate best-of-breed MarTech and AI vendors against roadmap and budget • Partner with commercial leadership to keep sales commitments aligned with platform reality • Establish clear decision-making norms that help engineering, product, and data move fast together What You Bring • 10 to 15 years in technology, with 3 to 5+ years leading teams with direct architecture and roadmap ownership • Proven leadership across both engineering and product, with shipped work you personally drove • Hands-on experience building or deeply integrating CDPs, identity resolution, and first-party data strategy • Production personalization or recommendation systems you owned from MVP to scale • Experimentation platform design, not just participation in experiments • Daily, embedded use of AI in your own work: LLMs, coding assistants, and agents as part of how you prototype, code, and research • Comfort in a small-team, fast-shipping environment • Working knowledge of healthcare data compliance (HIPAA and related standards) Nice to Have • Background in digital health media, healthcare engagement platforms, life sciences MarTech, or community/content platforms • Experience with data clean rooms, privacy-first targeting, or programmatic advertising • Familiarity with AWS, event-driven architecture, and generative AI in production Why This Role • Greenfield ownership of a real platform transformation • True authority to make decisions, not just facilitate them • Mission-driven work that touches physician decision-making and patient care at scale • The agility of a growth-stage company with the stability of a global parent Details • Remote, US-based (Eastern or Central time zone) • Quarterly in-person offsites in the Northeast • Must be authorized to work in the US without sponsorship CarterWill is an equal opportunity employer...
