The Role: We are seeking a Photo Studio Assistant / Sample Coordinator to support our fast-paced e-commerce photo studio in Long Beach, CA. This role is crucial for maintaining efficiency, organization, and quality standards across our studio operations while supporting sample management, photo-shoot preparation, and client communication. What You’ll Do: Manage product samples from intake through return, ensuring proper organization, tagging, and tracking Prepare samples for shoots (steaming, prepping, troubleshooting discrepancies) Support stylists and photographers to ensure visual alignment with brand guidelines Plan and coordinate shoots, creating and distributing detailed call sheets Book and manage talent (models, stylists, MUAs), including contracts and release forms Provide administrative support (answer phones, respond to emails, order supplies) Assist with day-of-shoot operations and troubleshoot issues in real time Who You Are: Highly organized and detail-oriented with the ability to juggle multiple priorities A problem-solver who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative studio environment Strong communicator who can liaise effectively with internal teams and external partners Passionate about photography, styling, and visual storytelling A proactive team player with a positive attitude and willingness to “do what it takes” What You’ve Done: Worked in a fashion photo studio, retail, or related environment (preferably e-commerce) Managed inventory, samples, or production assets with accuracy and accountability Coordinated photo-shoot logistics or worked with creative production teams Used Excel or similar tools for tracking and reporting data Collaborated cross-functionally with creative teams, vendors, or clients Nice to Haves: Experience with model booking, contracts, and release management Styling background or familiarity with fashion and e-commerce photography standards Knowledge of studio equipment, lighting, or production workflows Familiarity with digital asset management systems Currently, Cart.com does not intend to hire candidates who will need, now or in the future, Cart.com sponsorship through any non-immigrant visa category such as the H-1B, H-1B1, E-3, O-1, or TN.
