Full Description

At Carrum Health, we have built a unique marketplace for specialty care with unparalleled patient experience Since 2014, we have been rewiring a fundamentally broken healthcare system. By connecting large employers directly with the nation's top-tier providers, our platform replaces a flawed fee-for-service model with one that actually works. If you are passionate about solving complex economic problems, driving systemic change in our healthcare system, and thriving in a people-first culture, we want you on our team. As a high-growth health tech company, we are seeking high-performing, exceptional talent to scale our platform and ensure that anyone in the country facing a specialty procedure has access to the life-changing Carrum benefit.  Our marketplace creates massive value for all stakeholders: * For Employers (Demand): Predictable, transparent pricing that slashes specialty care costs by up to 45% and eliminates waste * For Providers (Supply): Ability to gain market share while reducing administrative burden, empowering top-tier doctors to focus completely on delivering optimal care. * For Members (Users): A life-changing benefit with dedicated concierges, VIP access to the nation's best specialists, and little-to-no out-of-pocket costs. The salary range for this role is $190,000–$210,000 depending on geography and level of experience, plus equity and an annual bonus. We are looking for a Director, Content & Creative Production to give Carrum a voice members actually want to read, and to build the content and creative studio that produces it. The Director, Content & Creative Production will play a critical role in our success. Reporting to the Head of Growth Marketing, you will own what Carrum says and how it looks, across every service line and every touchpoint a member sees. Our benefit sounds too good to be true: the nation’s best specialists, a personal concierge, and little to no out-of-pocket cost. Healthcare communication is usually cautious, generic, and forgettable, and a benefit like ours can’t afford that. You will set a bold, different, member-first standard that turns “too good to be true” into “this is for me,” while staying precise enough to protect patients and meet compliance requirements. You will lead a team of designers, writers, and service line content specialists, manage agency partners and contractors, and use practical AI to let a fixed team serve a growing member base. You’ve hustled, you’ve created, you’ve implemented, and you love the intensity of a startup in high-growth mode. You’re excited about this opportunity because you will... * Own the member voice. Set a bold, distinctive, member-first point of view for how Carrum sounds and looks, and own every word a member reads, from brand and messaging strategy to campaign copy to the smallest line of product text, so our communications feel written for a person facing a hard decision, not a benefits brochure. * Build and evolve the playbooks. Own the messaging frameworks, editorial workflows, and content playbooks, and keep strengthening them as we learn what lands. You will inherit the findings of an early audit in progress and turn them into how we work. * Make the unbelievable believable. Members hear “little to no out-of-pocket cost” and look for the catch. Use clear language and credible proof to turn “too good to be true” into “this is for me,” and fix the places where members misread or disbelieve what we tell them. * Run expert-driven editorial workflows. Work with clinicians and subject matter experts to produce accurate content, with review built into production instead of bolted on at the end. * Build content that earns attention. Launch and grow service-line content libraries and member-facing hubs, starting with lines that have almost no content today. * Let research and data decide what we make. Use persona and journey research plus performance feedback to decide what to produce, what to retire, and what to test. * Build a modular content system. Own the templates, design system, and asset management that let campaign variants be assembled from components without a designer on every request. * Lead AI strategy for content. Build the frameworks and tools that put AI to work in production, including custom personas for drafting and pre-flight feedback, and automated compliance and link checks. * Lead the team and the partners. Develop a high-performing team of designers, writers, and specialists, manage creative agency partners, and own the budget, while partnering closely with Integrated Marketing, Engagement Marketing, Operations, and Insights. We’re excited about you because… * You bring a rich background leading content and creative teams in a regulated, high-stakes consumer environment. We hope to see from you: * A bold, member-first voice: a portfolio of work in health or another regulated category that does not sound like the category. You can show us what you wrote or led, the risk you took, and how you kept it accurate. You can also point to a time you made a hard-to-believe offer believable. * Content and creative leadership: 10+ years in content, editorial, creative, or brand leadership, including 5+ years leading a team of writers and designers. * Regulated-content judgment: a track record producing clear, accurate, compliant communications in healthcare, digital health, or another high-stakes category such as financial services. * Production-system builder: experience building templates, design systems, and asset management that let marketing and operations self-serve at volume. * Practical AI strategy: hands-on experience building frameworks for AI in content workflows, not just experimenting with tools. * Vendor and budget stewardship: experience running a mix of in-house team and agency partners, with real accountability for spend. * Performance orientation: comfort tying creative decisions to outcomes, using research, testing, and feedback loops rather than taste alone. * Lifecycle and CRM fluency: working knowledge of how content is assembled and delivered in tools such as Braze, including dynamic content. * Entrepreneurial and resourceful, you’re a visionary problem solver who thrives in fast-paced environments. * Passion for collaborating cross-functionally with growth marketing, client success, data, operations, clinical, and product teams to drive impactful results. Why you’ll love working with us... * We’re a hard-working, humble, and compassionate group motivated to solve the hard problems in healthcare today. You’ll work with talented, experienced co-workers from companies like Booz & Company, Teladoc, Hinge Health, Accolade, Angi, and Optum.  * We champion a collaborative environment where team members can be autonomous, receive support and healthy feedback, and bring their authentic selves to work. * We carve out time to celebrate our successes and have fun. We’re a remote-first company with employees all over the United States. We offer holistic employee support with flexible working hours, generous time off, paid parental leave, opportunities to connect virtually and in-person, and more. * We embrace our team’s diversity of thought, experience, and interests and know that doing so makes us stronger as a company. Carrum has an active employee-led Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Justice (DEIJ) committee alongside several employee resource groups (ERGs) that support parents, women, and various underrepresented groups.  * You’ll feel proud that the work you do each day directly impacts people’s lives in big and meaningful ways. * Carrum is remote-first, but we believe the best work often happens in person. This role may include occasional travel for team offsites, client events, or company gatherings. Other benefits: * Stock option plan and performance bonus for eligible employees * Flexible schedules and remote work * Chicago and San Francisco offices available as an option * Flexible PTO, within reason * Summer Fridays (sign off @ 1pm local time) * 15+ paid holidays, including Juneteenth, World Mental Health Day, and Carrum Health Day * Annual holiday shutdown in December * Paid parental leave * Health, vision, and dental insurance * Employee Assistance Programs (EAP) * 401K retirement plan About Carrum Carrum Health’s mission is to change how we pay for and deliver specialty care.
