Full Description

Description: • Develop and implement the overall land acquisition strategy, systems, and processes for the company. • Responsible for Negotiating Lot Purchase Agreements with our Homebuilder counterparties • This role has P&L responsibility for the revenue growth of the company • This role is responsible for the growth and management of a Team of regional Acquisition Managers • Lead deal sourcing efforts by identifying, analyzing, and securing attractive land opportunities. • Build and manage a strong pipeline of acquisition targets through networking, business development, and industry relationships. • Conduct financial, market, and feasibility analyses to evaluate potential land deals. • Negotiate land purchase agreements, joint ventures, and related transactions. • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth transition of acquired deals into development and operations. • Establish relationships with Homebuilders/Buyer, landowners, brokers, municipalities, and industry stakeholders to support acquisitions. • Develop and manage key performance metrics to track acquisition activity and deal performance. • Partner with senior leadership to forecast acquisition needs aligned with company growth targets. • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and with external partners to enhance visibility and deal opportunities. Requirements: • Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Business, Finance, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred. • 10+ years of land acquisition experience with a Top 50 National Homebuilder or a Land development firm strongly preferred • Experience in building a Team strongly preferred • Proven track record of sourcing, negotiating, and closing large-scale land acquisition deals. • Strong financial acumen with expertise in deal structuring, underwriting, and market analysis. • Deep understanding of residential land development and entitlement processes. • Established network of landowners, brokers, and municipal contacts in target markets. • Exceptional negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills. • Demonstrated leadership experience building teams, systems, or processes from the ground up. • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, and high-growth environment. • Strategic thinker with strong execution skills and revenue-driven mindset.
