Job DetailsJob Location: Superior Scale - Fort Mill, SC 29716Position Type: Full TimeSalary Range: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 Salary/yearJob Category: ConstructionEssential Job Functions: Lead and manage concrete operations across assigned projects, crews, or regions to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality execution. Plan work sequencing, staffing levels, and resource allocation in alignment with project schedules and operational priorities. Maintain a visible job site presence to observe work in progress, coach field leaders, and resolve operational challenges. Provide direct leadership to crew leaders by setting expectations, monitoring performance, and addressing issues proactively. Ensure compliance with all CIS safety, environmental, and quality programs; initiate corrective action when standards are not met. Review construction drawings, specifications, and scopes of work to ensure accurate execution. Oversee forming, pouring, finishing, curing, and patching of concrete structures through crew leaders and field supervision. Perform limited hands-on concrete work on an occasional basis for training, quality assurance, troubleshooting, or issue resolution, while maintaining primary responsibility for oversight and decision-making. Monitor labor utilization, productivity, and operational performance metrics; address variances and inefficiencies. Communicate regularly with operations leadership and project stakeholders regarding progress, risks, and resource needs. Coordinate with vendors, subcontractors, and internal partners to ensure timely delivery of materials, equipment, and services. Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, execution consistency, efficiency, and associate engagement. Accountability: Maintain accountability for safety performance across all assigned concrete operations. Ensure work is executed in accordance with schedules, quality standards, and CIS policies. Own labor planning, staffing alignment, and field productivity outcomes. Ensure accurate and timely reporting of labor, production, and operational metrics. Hold field leaders accountable for performance, behavior, and compliance. Model and reinforce CIS Core Values and C10 behaviors through daily leadership actions. Incorporate feedback from field teams to improve processes, execution, and engagement. QualificationsQualifications Minimum 5+ years of progressive experience in concrete construction; a combination of relevant education, leadership, industry, and professional experience may also be considered. Experience within industrial and commercial service environments is highly desirable. Demonstrated experience in a field leadership role (foreman, crew leader, or similar) Knowledge of forming systems, finishing tools, equipment operation, and concrete placement Experience reading blueprints and performing layout. Working knowledge of current industry trends and construction technologies. OSHA 10 or 30 certification preferred. Strong leadership capability, including the ability to set expectations, influence behavior, and hold teams accountable. Effective interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills with diverse teams and stakeholders. Demonstrated ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within teams. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and disciplined follow-through. Adaptable and comfortable working in fast-paced, dynamic environments with shifting priorities. Solutions-focused problem solver with the ability to assess situations, make sound decisions, and implement practical solutions. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and willingness to learn and use ERP, CRM, and operational reporting systems. Familiarity with environmental, health, and safety management systems preferred. Must meet all CIS pre-employment requirements, including drug screening, background check, and MVR review. Physical Requirements This position is primarily field-facing with operational and office-based responsibilities, with regular site-based activities in active construction environments. The physical requirements below represent those that may be encountered in the performance of the role, many of which occur on an occasional to intermittent basis in support of field oversight, supervision, training, quality verification, and issue resolution. Travel across CIS’s growing footprint up to 80% of the time based on project needs; make occasional overnight trips; travel requirements may increase or decrease based on business demands. Navigate active construction, manufacturing, and customer facilities; walk on uneven surfaces; climb stairs, ladders, or temporary access structures as site conditions require; stand for extended periods in support of jobsite oversight and supervision. Lift and carry items up to 25 lbs. occasionally (e.g., tools, materials, or equipment used for inspection, training, or quality verification); use material-handling equipment or assistance for heavier items. Position and handle items at various heights (floor to waist, waist to shoulder, overhead) on occasion; use team assistance or material-handling equipment for heavier or repetitive transfers between vehicles, jobsite, and workspace. Access work areas at varied orientations and elevations by climbing, bending, stooping, kneeling, and reaching on occasion; perform fine motor movements as needed for inspections, demonstrations, training, or corrective interventions. Work in both indoor and outdoor environments; visit active construction sites where conditions may include temperature extremes, weather exposure, moderate to high noise levels, moving equipment, uneven terrain, dust, or fumes. Utilize laptops, tablets, mobile devices, and reporting tools routinely; engage hand or power tools and construction equipment on an occasional basis in a supervisory, training, quality assurance, or troubleshooting capacity, not as routine production labor. Drive company or rental vehicles for work assignments; maintain a valid driver’s license and insurable driving record; comply with company safety rules and applicable requirements. Wear required PPE such as safety eyewear, gloves, high-visibility apparel, safety footwear, hard hats, and hearing protection during site visits; wear respiratory protection only when required, with medical clearance, fit testing, and training completed per policy and applicable regulations. Other Duties: Other duties may be assigned by the Manager as needed to meet business demands.
