We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced professional to join our team on a temporary basis as a Material Planner and Inventory Specialist. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing inventory processes, including cycle counts, slow-moving inventory analysis, and material changes. The role requires hands-on experience with SAP, as well as expertise in planning and purchasing processes. • Plan, execute, and reconcile regular cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy and minimize discrepancies. • Investigate and resolve variances between physical inventory and system records, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions. • Ensure strict compliance with internal inventory control policies, procedures, and audit requirements. • Identify and analyze slow-moving or obsolete inventory. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop strategies for reducing excess stock. • Propose and implement actions such as reallocation, repurposing, or disposal of inventory. • Manage material master data updates in SAP, including part number changes, descriptions, and classifications. • Coordinate with relevant teams to ensure smooth transitions during material changes. • Monitor and track the impact of material changes on inventory levels and availability. • Support purchasing activities, including order placement, vendor communication, and delivery tracking. • Ensure alignment between inventory levels and production requirements Requirements: • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in inventory management,. • Minimum of 3+ years hands-on experience with SAP (e.g., MM, IM, or WM modules). • Proficiency in inventory management processes and best practices. • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions. • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.). • Excellent organizational and time-management skills. • Strong communication and collaboration abilities to work effectively with cross-functional teams. • Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail. Preferred Qualifications: • Experience in a manufacturing or production environment. • Familiarity with lean inventory practices or continuous improvement methodologies. • Knowledge of supply chain principles and vendor management.
