The Senior Analyst will lead the design, execution, and integration of biopharma market insights across therapeutic areas, evaluating partnership opportunities and providing strategic recommendations. This role involves close collaboration with the leadership team to identify and prioritize partnership opportunities for Caris Diagnostics, Data, and Discovery.
Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Business, Biotechnology, or a related field, with an advanced degree preferred. A minimum of 8 years of experience in pharmaceutical/biotechnology market research or business development is required, along with a deep understanding of drug development and precision medicine.

Position Summary Our whole exome and transcriptome assay is the engine that powers three core Caris BioPartnering businesses: diagnostics driven precision medicine, multi-modal data and novel target discovery, delivered with excellence, teamwork, and credibility. The Senior Analyst, BioPartnering Market Insights will play a critical role in shaping Caris BioPartnering strategy by delivering high-quality market intelligence and opportunity assessments that accelerate biopharma engagement and partnerships. This individual will lead the design, execution, and integration of biopharma market insights across therapeutic areas, evaluate partnership opportunities, and provide strategic recommendations that inform business, strategy, and tactical priorities. The role requires close collaboration and regular presentation of insights to the leadership team to identify and prioritize partnership opportunities for Caris Diagnostics, Data and Discovery to accelerate biopharma drug development & delivery. Job Responsibilities Biopharma Market Analysis Lead continuous assessment of the biopharma landscape, including pipeline programs, clinical trial strategies, biomarker initiatives, and companion diagnostic (CDx) trends. Anticipate emerging opportunities and risks in precision medicine and advise leadership on implications for Caris’ Diagnostics, Data, and Discovery businesses. Synthesize complex external insights into clear, actionable recommendations that shape strategic priorities and account targeting. Market Opportunity Assessment Drive comprehensive market opportunity assessments for Caris’ core service offerings Build scenario-based models that evaluate commercial potential and market timing for emerging Caris capabilities. Research pricing models, contract structures, and commercial terms in the biopharma services market Deliver executive-ready insights that inform strategic and tactical planning as well as product launches Customer Intelligence and Support Profile and communicate biopharma companies' drug development portfolios and precision medicine strategies Lead customer segmentation and prioritization Translate biopharma customer pain points into high-value partnership opportunities aligned with Caris’ platform and services. Act as a subject matter expert to support deals where appropriate Core Service Focus Areas Multimodal Data Platform Research applications of integrated genomic, transcriptomic, and proteomic data in drug development Analyze market demand for comprehensive data integration in clinical development Molecular Profiling Services Identify market demand for molecular profiling in drug development and clinical trials Map applications in patient stratification, biomarker discovery, and treatment selection Data & Discovery Services Research biopharma needs for real-world evidence generation and data analytics support Analyze market demand for data-driven drug discovery and target identification services CDx Development Research companion diagnostics needs across therapeutic areas and development stages Analyze regulatory and commercial pathways for CDx development partnerships Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Business, Biotechnology, or related field; advanced degree (MS, PhD, MBA) strongly preferred. 8+ years of experience in pharmaceutical/biotechnology market research, business development, or oncology research Deep understanding of drug development, precision medicine, and biomarker-driven clinical trials. Proven ability to lead market assessments and deliver insights that influence executive decision-making. Strong cross-functional collaboration and influence skills, with experience engaging senior leaders Exceptional communication skills with the ability to distill complex insights into clear, executive-ready presentations. Technical Skills Strong understanding of pharmaceutical business models and drug development economics Proficiency in market research methodologies and data analysis tools Expertise in leveraging pharmaceutical databases and industry intelligence platforms Advanced skills in Excel, PowerPoint, and data visualization tools Analytical skills with ability to translate drug development challenges into market opportunities Understanding of pharmaceutical R&D strategies and decision-making processes Excellent communication skills with ability to present complex information clearly Strategic thinking and business acumen Project management skills with ability to handle multiple initiatives Preferred Qualifications Familiarity with oncology drug development and precision oncology approaches Knowledge of regulatory requirements for companion diagnostics and precision medicine Experience with real-world evidence generation and data analytics in healthcare Understanding of biomarker development and validation processes Training All job specific, safety, and compliance training are assigned based on the job functions associated with this employee. Other 15-20% travel for industry conferences, customer meetings, and market research activities Annual Hiring Range $160,000 - $190,000 Actual compensation offer to candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level. The pay ratio between base pay and target incentive (if applicable) will be finalized at offer.
