Perform age-specific patient assessments, develop and implement interdisciplinary care plans, administer treatments and medications, and document care using electronic medical records.
Must be a graduate of an accredited nursing program, hold or be eligible for Virginia RN licensure, have CPR and other certifications as needed, and possess computer skills for EMR systems.
About the position Responsibilities • Age specific admission and ongoing assessments are completed, documented and used to develop a plan of care. • Collaborates with members of the health care team/patient/family to develop, implement, and evaluate an age-specific interdisciplinary plan of care. • Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates patient care in order to achieve optimum patient outcomes for patients of all ages as appropriate to service area. • Treatments and medications for patients of all ages are accurately administered and documented utilizing automated computer systems, including electronic medical records. Requirements • Graduate of school of professional nursing of an accredited college or graduate of an approved program eligible to sit for the VA licensure exam. • Currently licensed as Registered Nurse in Virginia or eligible to obtain Virginia RN licensure. • Obtain CPR, and as needed ACLS, PALS, NRP certifications. • Computer skills required for electronic medical record (EPIC). • Successfully complete orientation and competency requirements. • Meet essential job functions.
