Summary The Business Systems Analyst, Finance will serve as the primary owner and administrator of the company's ERP system (NetSuite) and the primary owner of financial reporting within NetSuite, with a focus on data integrity and process efficiency across ecommerce, retail, and omni-channel operations. This is an in-house role embedded within our Finance team, not a consulting or implementation-partner engagement. You will provide functional and technical support to Finance and cross-functional teams, ensuring accurate financial data, reporting, and reconciliation across all selling channels (Shopify, Shopify POS, B2B/B2C, and omni-channel). This role requires a strong understanding of financial business processes (GL, AP, AR, FP&A), end-to-end project management, and advanced analytical expertise. This role is based in New York, with in-office presence required Tuesday through Thursday, and reports to the Director of IT with a direct line to the Head of Finance. Skills and Qualifications • 3+ years of experience in Business Systems Analysis or ERP support in an in-house/internal capacity, including proven experience with NetSuite. • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or a related field required. • Experience owning NetSuite Financial Reporting strongly preferred. • Strong knowledge of Finance and Financial Operations, including GL, AP, AR, Asset Accounting, Budget, Bank Accounting, and FP&A. • Experience with Shopify Ecommerce and POS applications (Shopify+, Shopify POS) strongly preferred. • Experience with US GAAP (US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) is a plus. • Experience working in a multinational environment is preferred. • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel required. • Excellent communication and project management skills. • Strong critical thinking, attention to detail, and ability to work independently across multiple priorities in a collaborative environment. • Experience working with physical/tangible goods inventory required; retail/apparel experience preferred. • Must be based in the NYC area. Core Responsibilities Serve as the primary System Owner & Administrator for the company's ERP system (NetSuite), and as the primary owner of NetSuite Financial Reporting. • Provide functional and technical support to Finance and internal teams. • Ensure system availability and integration/data connections are within SLA. • Oversee validation of financial data in NetSuite across all selling channels (ecommerce, retail, wholesale, omni-channel). • Develop and maintain saved searches, reports, KPIs, and dashboards for Finance and related departments within the Order-to-Cash, Record-to-Report, and Procure-to-Pay processes. • Maintain a balance between tactical initiatives and daily NetSuite operations. Support core financial operations and reporting. • Support accounting, bank reconciliation (e.g., Shopify payouts, deposit reconciliation), cost controlling, inventory controlling, product costing, and financial consolidation across core applications. • Generate and maintain accurate financial reports using NetSuite and external reporting tools. • Develop and manage workflows for integrating financial and operational data from multiple sources. • Understand accounting principles and translate them into practical ERP requirements and solutions. Lead and manage implementation of Finance and Supply Chain business software applications. • Assist in development of the product roadmap: requirements gathering, process design, system configuration, testing, and go-live. • Partner with Finance, Procurement, Logistics, and B2B/B2C teams to interpret business requirements and translate them into functional/technical specifications aligned with organizational goals. • Perform UAT on new features, including functional and regression testing. • Build reporting and alerting processes within necessary applications. • Ensure systems and processes support strong financial controls, compliance, and data integrity. Serve as the point of contact for 3rd party vendors and teams supporting business systems implementations. • Work closely with external development resources to ensure project expectations are effectively communicated, understood, and executed. Drive continuous improvement. • Proactively identify opportunities to streamline financial processes and improve data accuracy. • Promote continuous improvement through automation and process transformation. • Recommend tools and system solutions that increase efficiency and reduce manual work. • Develop and maintain SOPs, user guides, data flow diagrams, and internal documentation for NetSuite and other financial business systems; lead training with internal teams.
