The Role We are seeking a Full-Stack Engineer with direct EMS experience to contribute to our mission. In this position, you will own projects with a founder mindset, collaborate closely with the team, and maintain strong connections with our customers in the EMS field. This role is ideal for proactive problem-solvers who excel at delivering results quickly, take full accountability, and understand the demands of high-intensity work. You will have the opportunity to influence key decisions and directly impact business outcomes in a dynamic startup setting. Key Responsibilities Own product features end-to-end in collaboration with your product manager, engineering manager, and designer, from ideation to deployment. Develop primarily using TypeScript, React, Bun, Node, Go, and PostgreSQL to create scalable applications. Collaborate with engineers on your team and across CareSwift on code reviews, data models, architecture, and product decisions. Maintain close engagement with our customers to gather insights and ensure our solutions address real-world EMS challenges. Influence decisions and drive direct impact on business outcomes, such as enhancing EMS workflows to save time and improve care. Requirements 1 year of full-time (or equivalent) experience as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) or in a similar EMS role—we require candidates who understand the demands of fieldwork. Strong knowledge of our stack: TypeScript and Go (experience with React, Bun, Node, and PostgreSQL is a plus). 3 years (or equivalent) of experience in full-stack development. Ability to work on both frontend and backend applications as a versatile full-stack developer.
