As Vice President of Compliance, you will serve as a trusted advisor to leadership, ensuring regulatory excellence and safeguarding patient trust across a rapidly expanding multi-state platform. This role will be responsible for • Developing and overseeing a comprehensive enterprise-wide compliance program. • Ensuring compliance with federal and state laws, including HIPAA, 42 CFR Part 2, CMS, Joint Commission, and behavioral health–specific regulations. • Acting as the primary liaison with regulators, auditors, and accreditation bodies. • Establishing and enforcing compliance policies, procedures, and standards across multi-state operations. • Leading compliance education and training for executives, clinicians, and staff. • Designing and managing monitoring and auditing programs across outpatient, IOP, residential, and hospital-based services. • Partnering with business leaders during M&A due diligence, integrations, and new site openings. Expectations will include • Regularly reporting to the Board/Compliance Committee on risk exposures, audit outcomes, and program effectiveness. • Building and fostering a strong culture of compliance, integrity, and patient safety. • Identifying potential risk areas and implementing proactive corrective action plans. • Supporting Revenue Cycle compliance with billing, coding, and reimbursement requirements. • Collaborating with clinical, operational, finance, and HR leaders to align compliance with business objectives. • Ensuring compliance practices are scalable to support rapid multi-site growth. A qualified candidate will possess the following • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree (JD, MBA, MHA, or related) strongly preferred. • 10+ years of progressive compliance leadership experience in healthcare, ideally behavioral health, hospital, or multi-site care delivery. • Deep expertise in behavioral health regulations, HIPAA, 42 CFR Part 2, CMS, and state-level requirements. • Proven success building and scaling compliance programs in complex, regulated organizations. • Experience in multi-state, private equity–backed, or high-growth environments preferred. • Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence at all levels. • High integrity, sound judgment, and dedication to mission-driven care.
