Job Title: Materials Floor LeaderJob Summary: Our client in Roseville, MI is seeking a Materials Floor Leader to join their team. In this role, you will oversee material handling operations and inventory control within our automotive manufacturing plant. You will lead a team of material handlers, ensuring efficient material flow to support production schedules and maintain accurate inventory levels.Key Responsibilities: • Supervise and coordinate daily activities of material handlers. • Ensure timely and accurate delivery of materials to production lines. • Maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counts and audits. • Monitor material flow and implement strategies to reduce shortages and excess inventory. • Enforce safety standards and company policies in all material handling operations. • Collaborate with Materials Manager and other departments to resolve material-related issues. • Train and develop team members for improved efficiency and performance. • Utilize ERP systems to track material movement and maintain data integrity. • Drive process improvements for material handling and inventory control. Required Skills & Qualifications: • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field preferred. • 3+ years of experience in materials management or inventory control (automotive experience preferred). • Strong leadership and team management skills. • Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite. • Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities. • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles is a plus.
