The Senior Digital Product Designer will be responsible for UI/UX design for Caraway’s digital product experience, ensuring that new features and site optimizations improve core business KPIs. They will also collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to analyze site performance data and execute design solutions.
Candidates should have 5+ years of experience in designing responsive digital experiences, with a strong portfolio showcasing their work. Proficiency in web design tools like Figma and the Adobe Suite is essential, along with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects.
The Opportunity: We are looking for a Senior Digital Product Designer to join our team to help with the design, development, execution, and ongoing optimization of Caraway’s digital product and ecommerce website. The ideal candidate has a seasoned background in designing delightful digital experiences with an emphasis on responsive design across mobile & desktop, ideally at a fast-growing startup and/or consumer goods brand. This role is familiar working cross-functionally with developers, digital product managers, marketers, and other designers to build a best-in-class & top converting ecommerce platform. The Senior Digital Product Designer will have an impeccable eye for design to reinforce (and establish) the brand’s visual identity digitally, and will work to infuse their creative decision making with data-driven insights to help improve & hit company KPIs (Site Conversion Rate, Revenue per Session, AOV, etc.). Who You Are: The Senior Digital Product Designer has a passion for visual storytelling with exceptional skills in typography, layout design, and delivering pixel-perfect & developer-friendly assets. They stay up to date on all of the latest design trends within our industry & amongst challenger brands, and are adept at compiling directional research to inform and validate their creative decisions. They’ll be responsible for constructing, maintaining, and enforcing site guidelines across all digital touchpoints, ensuring all aspects of the site experience are considered and consistent. They have a strong ability to work independently and be self-sufficient in managing their tasks and responsibilities. They possess a proactive attitude, excellent communication, and the ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks without constant supervision. Responsibilities: UI/UX design for all aspects of Caraway’s digital product experience, ensuring all new features & site optimizations directly or indirectly assist in improving core business KPIs Implementing and enforcing a cohesive end-to-end look and feel across the brand’s digital product, including: Enforcing brand style guides & considerations informing usage of fonts, color, grids, etc., across all site pages (PDPs, navigational features, landing pages, brand story & educational pages, blog, etc.). Creating, collaborating, and iterating on site prototypes, user journeys, and user flows utilizing systems-based design thinking Understanding the Caraway customer’s evolving wants and needs and making improvements to their shopping experience across all devices Exporting and uploading content to the site via Caraway’s internal CMS Collaborating with internal & external teams on producing net-new creative assets (photos, videos, copy, graphics, etc.) Supporting the product design team’s workflows by creating reusable and adaptable interactive components that leverage variants, design tokens, and component properties. Optimizing and updating the Figma Library accordingly to keep the team as organized and up to date. Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to analyze site performance data to identify, plan, scope, and execute end-to-end design solutions (user testing, heatmaps, CX inquiries, etc.). Proactively looks for opportunities and challenges the status quo on innovation and design quality. Contribute to brief out on-site A/B tests, and any net-new creative content needed to support e-comm business goals. Execute thorough quality assurance testing on new & optimized site features to identify potential bugs and ensure development is completed to scope in a timely manner Knowledge, skills, and abilities: 5+ years of experience in designing responsive digital experiences with a compelling portfolio of distinctive design work; DTC brand experience a plus Expert in web design tools (Figma) and the Adobe Suite (Photoshop, XD, InDesign, Illustrator) Strong organizational skills, keen eye for detail, and ability to manage multiple projects at once An advocate for not just the user, but for the quality, consistency and scalability of the tools that they use You work well in a team as well as alone You're excited about our mission and making an impact at Caraway Collaborative team player, skilled at working cross-functionally to achieve shared objectives. The anticipated base salary range for this role is $110,000 - $130,000 - Final compensation will depend on a variety of factors determining the base pay at offer, including but not limited to: skills, qualifications, experience. This range provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role.
