A global, industry leading global industrial manufacturing/processing organization seeks to hire a Site Director / General Manager to oversee full operations and P&L of its flagship production site in the Portland/Vancouver area. Reporting to the Vice President of North American Operations, this position carries complete responsibility for safety, quality, on-time delivery, and financial performance while driving continuous improvement and customer satisfaction. This is a permanent, direct-hire opportunity. Primary Responsibilities: • Provide strategic and tactical leadership across all plant functions to achieve or exceed goals for safety, quality, service, cost, and sales growth. • Direct daily operations with full accountability for profit and loss (P&L), capital planning, and operational excellence. • Cultivate a strong culture of customer service, developing long-term agreements and expanding opportunities within the existing customer base. • Recruit, retain, and develop plant leadership talent, ensuring appropriate staffing levels and a high-performance culture. • Lead systemic improvements using Lean and Six Sigma methodologies to enhance safety, quality, capacity, and technical capabilities. • Collaborate closely with quality, engineering, technical support, finance, and other functions to meet plant objectives. • Oversee equipment planning, plant layouts, and control of overhead expenses while ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures. Required Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in business, technology, or related field is required; master’s degree preferred. • Minimum of 12 years of industrial or operations leadership, including eight years within heavy industrial environments. • At least 10 years of demonstrated success with Lean and Six Sigma project implementation and proactive labor performance management. • Strong project management, communication, and presentation skills with the ability to make sound decisions and motivate teams. • US Citizenship required.
