UX Engineer (JOB-4589) Location: REMOTE; Omaha, NE (occasional travel to Omaha, NE office as needed) Employment Type: W-2 Contract | 12 Months Pay Range: $55 – $67/hour (W2) IMPORTANT NOTE: Visa sponsorship is not available. We are unable to work with third-party employers. Capstone IT is partnering with a leading insurance and financial services provider to hire a UX Engineer for a 12-month contract opportunity based in Omaha, NE (remote with occasional onsite travel). As a UX Engineer, you’ll play a critical role in building modern, user-centered web applications that support corporate website, landing pages, sponsorship activations, and enterprise campaigns. You’ll work hands-on with Vue.js (Vuex/Pinia), JavaScript (ES6+), and Laravel (PHP) to deliver scalable, accessible, and high-performing solutions that drive brand visibility and customer engagement. You’ll collaborate closely with UX designers and developers to transform wireframes into responsive, intuitive, and accessible interfaces while also contributing to reusable components, modernization of legacy applications, and implementation of digital best practices. Beyond development, you’ll ensure that WCAG accessibility standards, SEO optimization, analytics integration, test automation, and Core Web Vitals performance improvements are embedded into every solution. This role is ideal for an experienced front-end engineer who is passionate about modernization, user-centered design, and delivering scalable, high-impact applications within a collaborative digital team. Top 4 Skills • Vue.js (JavaScript, ES6) • Laravel (PHP Framework) • HTML5 / CSS / Web Accessibility (WCAG) • UX Engineering (SEO, Analytics, Test Automation) Responsibilities • Develop and enhance web applications, landing pages, and campaign features using Vue.js (Vuex/Pinia), JavaScript (ES6+), and Laravel (PHP). • Partner with UX designers to translate wireframes and mockups into responsive, accessible, and intuitive user interfaces. • Build reusable components and modernize legacy applications with scalable frameworks and front-end best practices. • Ensure compliance with WCAG 2.1 accessibility standards, optimize for SEO and Core Web Vitals, and deliver strong site performance. • Implement and maintain UI test automation frameworks (e.g., Jest, Cypress) to ensure reliability and scalability. • Contribute to code reviews to maintain quality, performance, and maintainability across solutions. • Support high-visibility digital initiatives including corporate websites, enterprise campaigns, and sponsorship activations. Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or related field preferred. • 4+ years of experience in front-end engineering. • Expert-level proficiency in Vue.js, JavaScript (ES6+), Vuex/Pinia and Laravel (PHP). • Strong command of HTML5, CSS, and implementation of WCAG accessibility standards. • Experience with SEO, web analytics, and performance optimization. • Familiarity with implementing and leveraging design system toolkits in Vue. • Prior experience working on UX-focused teams or directly with UX designers strongly preferred. • Clear communicator, able to articulate technical concepts effectively to diverse stakeholders. • Passion for user-centered design and delivering seamless, intuitive digital experiences.
