Check us out online at www.capstonehospice.com As the CNA Supervisor, you are a member of the dedicated clinical team that is responsible for providing management and leadership of the CNA department. You will act as the liaison between the Patient Care Manager and the RN on CNA needs in the field for assigned patients. You will also collaborate with the Associate Clinical Director on appropriate CNA staffing to ensure patient care is covered. You will oversee and coordinate with the CNA scheduler to ensure patient care is evenly assigned for schedules and timely help. Our dedicated team of aides provide quality personal care to terminally ill patients and their families in the patient's private residence and senior living communities. This is a salaried exempt position working Monday - Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm, this is a supervisory position. The position requires the candidate to be a licensed LPN in the state of Georgia. Requirements Candidates must meet the following requirements to be considered: Must have a valid Georgia license as a Licensed Practical Nurse Proven LPN/CNA knowledge. High School degree/GED required Proven and dependable work history in administrative, leadership, supervisory or lead position. Hospice experience Experience using a dedicated EMR/EHR. To be successful in the role, candidates must possess the following knowledge, skills & abilities: Ability to work independently, make accurate, and at time, quick judgement. Ability to respond to appropriately to crisis outside of a hospital setting. Demonstrate kindness, compassion, and integrity at all times. Ability to make choices, decisions and at in the patient's best interest. Ability to handle multiple priorities. Possess written and verbal skills for effective communication and documentation. Competence in Microsoft Products (Word, Excel, Teams, etc.) Essential Responsibilities: · Delegates tasks to CNA Scheduler · Oversight of CNA performance · Coordination with Associate Clinical Director on CNA staffing needs · Act as the first level, “go to person” for the CNA team. · Creates, coordinates, reports, posts, and manages all functions related to CNA schedules according to patient’s plan of care. · Coordinate vacation time off requests to ensure appropriate coverage. · Secure call out coverage, maintain accurate attendance records and notify management of attendance related issues. · Communicate with facility and team of changes to CNA visits. · Ensure direct care staff documentation is completed accurately and timely. · Prioritize tasks to ensure optimum services to patients/families’ requests and needs change. · Communicate in a courteous and respectful fashion. · Assist in creating a culture of superior customer service. · Bi-weekly payroll reporting. · Completes the annual review process. Physical Requirements: Lifting occasionally of more than 25lbs, sitting 4-8 hours/day, bending stooping, squatting and/or twisting repeatedly throughout the day. Position requires close work with others in an office setting, finger dexterity; adequate hearing and vision (with or without correction). May occasionally work longer than 8 hour/day. Mental Requirements: Must be able to work independently, make judgments based on assessments and data available and act accordingly. Must be flexible, innovative and possess good interpersonal skills. Must be able to cope with mental and emotional stress and demonstrate emotional stability. Working Conditions: Work in an office setting with exposure to office lighting and heating/air systems COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS: This is a full-time salaried exempt position.
