As a Market Leader on the Strategic Customer Development Team, you will be responsible for designing the strategy and go-to market plans for the Strategic Customer Development Team. You will initially be responsible for a team of 7-8 Strategic Customer Development Managers. Early on you will be responsible for the oversight, management, coaching and development of a team of field based Strategic Customer Development Managers who will be focused on helping Commercial Card Customers as they onboard and engage with our latest product enhancements. Long term your associates will be leading program management and customer lifecycle (both commercial and small business customers) to help clients realize the full value of their Capital One Card Program, with a strong focus on driving spend realization. Your team will partner directly with business owners and AP managers to ensure meaningful value creation for our clients. You and your team will partner across the internal value chain to create a seamless and beautiful experience for our clients. Responsibilities: • Develop strategy and execution plan for successful customer relationships • Initially lead a team of 7 Strategic Customer Development Managers, each of whom will manage a book of relationships • Test new concepts and influence build out of the Strategic Customer Development job function • Create and foster a dynamic Customer Development culture and assist the team in achieving their goals • Participate in both strategic and tactical planning processes with leadership to manage risk as well as drive growth • Coach and develop associates, providing direction for the team and managing overall performance • Manage overall workflow of team and monitor comprehensive portfolio metrics to identify opportunities and trends • Lead the team to deliver superior results while providing an outstanding customer experience • Build and maintain relationships with various partner teams within Capital One to create strong partnerships with key focus on vendor outreach and the overall client experience • Prepare and deliver team updates to leadership • Ensure that all customer and prospect interactions are conducted in accordance with Capital One legal and compliance and regulatory guidelines Our Ideal Candidate will have: • Exceptional people management skills with focus on coaching and development • Demonstrated abilities to build relationships and influence across a wide range of levels both internally and with clients • Hands on experience in sales and/or client management and the ability to deliver a superior client experience • Strong verbal and written communication skills - over the phone (Zoom), in writing and in person • Creative thinker willing to go outside of their lane • Incredibly organized and process oriented with strong attention to detail • Strong professional presence • Working understanding of performance metrics • Makes sound independent decisions, and demonstrates sound judgment to seek senior support or expertise when needed • Strong business acumen Capital One is open to hiring a Remote Employee for this opportunity. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked. This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
