Role Overview: As a Senior Manager in Technical Program Management at Capital One Software, you will lead complex, cross-functional programs that drive the development and delivery of innovative technology solutions. Your role is critical in aligning technical teams and business stakeholders to ensure successful execution and impactful outcomes. What You'll Do: - You will lead and manage multiple technical programs, ensuring alignment with strategic business goals. - You will collaborate with engineering, product, and business teams to define program scope, objectives, and deliverables. - You will develop detailed project plans, timelines, and resource allocation strategies. - You will identify and mitigate risks, resolving issues to keep programs on track. - You will communicate program status, risks, and dependencies to senior leadership and stakeholders. - You will foster a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence within your teams. - You will mentor and develop program managers and other team members. - You will drive adoption of best practices in program management and agile methodologies. What You Bring: - 8+ years of experience in technical program management, preferably in software development or financial services. - Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies. - Proven ability to manage large-scale, complex technical programs with cross-functional teams. - Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills. - Experience with project management tools such as JIRA, Confluence, or similar. - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field. Bonus Points If You Have: - Experience in the financial services industry or fintech environment. - Advanced certifications such as PMP, PgMP, or Agile Certified Practitioner. - Familiarity with cloud technologies and DevOps practices. - Experience working in a fully remote or distributed team environment.
