Job Title: Senior Manager, Technical Program Management - Capital One Software (Remote) Company Overview: Capital One is a leading financial services company committed to leveraging technology and data to transform the banking experience. Role Overview: As a Senior Manager in Technical Program Management, you will lead complex software initiatives that drive Capital One’s technology strategy forward. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery of high-quality products while managing risks and dependencies in a fast-paced environment. What You'll Do: - You will lead and manage multiple technical programs, ensuring alignment with business goals and technology strategies. - You will coordinate cross-team collaboration to drive program execution and resolve impediments. - You will develop and maintain detailed program plans, tracking progress and communicating status to stakeholders. - You will identify risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure successful program delivery. - You will mentor and develop program managers and team members to enhance their skills and performance. - You will partner with engineering, product, and business teams to prioritize initiatives and manage resource allocation. - You will drive continuous improvement in program management processes and tools. - You will represent Capital One’s technology programs in executive meetings and external forums. What You Bring: - 8+ years of experience in technical program management, preferably in software development or financial services. - Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies. - Proven ability to manage large-scale, complex technical programs with multiple stakeholders. - Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills. - Experience with program management tools such as JIRA, Confluence, or similar platforms. - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree preferred. Bonus Points If You Have: - Experience in the financial services industry or with fintech products. - PMP, PgMP, or Agile certifications. - Background in cloud technologies and modern software architectures. - Experience working in a fully remote or distributed team environment.
