You will collaborate across teams to ensure alignment with business objectives and technical excellence. What You'll Do: - You will lead and mentor a team of full stack engineers, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement. - You will oversee the design, development, and deployment of robust software applications that meet business needs. - You will collaborate with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to define project requirements and deliverables. - You will implement best practices in software engineering, including code reviews, testing, and agile methodologies. - You will manage project timelines, resources, and risks to ensure successful delivery. - You will drive technical strategy and architecture decisions to support scalable and secure solutions. - You will champion diversity, equity, and inclusion within your team and across the organization. - You will stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends to keep Capital One at the cutting edge. What You Bring: - You have 8+ years of experience in software engineering with at least 3 years in a leadership role managing full stack development teams. - You possess strong expertise in full stack technologies such as Java, JavaScript, React, Node.js, and cloud platforms like AWS or Azure. - You have a proven track record of delivering complex software projects on time and within budget. - You demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively lead cross-functional teams. - You have experience with agile development methodologies and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines. - You hold a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Bonus Points If You Have: - Experience in the financial services industry or with fintech products. - Knowledge of microservices architecture and containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes. - Advanced degrees or certifications in software engineering or project management. - Passion for mentoring and developing diverse engineering talent.
