Role Overview: As a Senior Manager of Production Support, you will lead a dynamic team responsible for ensuring the stability and performance of Capital One's software applications. Your role is critical in managing incident response, driving continuous improvement, and collaborating across teams to maintain seamless production operations. What You'll Do: - You will lead and mentor a team of production support engineers to deliver high-quality support services. - You will oversee incident management processes, ensuring timely resolution and communication. - You will collaborate with development and operations teams to identify and implement process improvements. - You will analyze production issues to prevent recurrence and improve system reliability. - You will manage stakeholder relationships and provide regular status updates on production health. - You will develop and enforce best practices for production support and incident response. - You will drive automation initiatives to enhance support efficiency and reduce manual interventions. - You will contribute to strategic planning for production support capabilities and resource allocation. What You Bring: - You have 7+ years of experience in production support or IT operations, with at least 3 years in a leadership role. - You possess strong knowledge of incident management frameworks and ITIL practices. - You have experience with cloud platforms, preferably AWS or Azure. - You demonstrate excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. - You are proficient in scripting or automation tools to streamline support processes. - You have a solid understanding of software development lifecycle and agile methodologies. Bonus Points If You Have: - Experience in the financial services industry or with fintech applications. - Familiarity with monitoring and alerting tools such as Splunk, Datadog, or New Relic. - Certifications such as ITIL, PMP, or AWS Certified Solutions Architect. - Background in DevOps practices and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD).
