Role Overview: As a Lead PKI Engineer at Capital One, you will spearhead the design, implementation, and management of Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) systems. Your role is critical in ensuring the security and integrity of our digital assets by solving complex cybersecurity challenges in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. What You'll Do: - You will lead the development and maintenance of PKI systems to support secure communications and transactions. - You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design scalable and resilient security architectures. - You will troubleshoot and resolve complex PKI-related issues to maintain system reliability. - You will implement best practices and compliance standards for cryptographic key management. - You will mentor and guide junior engineers to enhance team capabilities. - You will stay current with emerging cybersecurity threats and technologies to proactively protect our infrastructure. - You will contribute to incident response and risk assessment activities related to PKI. What You Bring: - You have 7+ years of experience in cybersecurity with a focus on PKI engineering. - You possess deep knowledge of cryptographic protocols, certificate authorities, and key management. - You are proficient in scripting languages such as Python or PowerShell for automation. - You have experience with security frameworks and compliance standards like NIST, FIPS, and PCI-DSS. - You demonstrate strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in agile teams. Bonus Points If You Have: - Experience with cloud-based PKI solutions and integrations (AWS, Azure). - Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or relevant PKI-specific credentials. - Familiarity with DevSecOps practices and tools. - Background in incident response and forensic analysis.
