This role requires a visionary technologist with deep expertise in machine learning and a passion for solving complex business challenges. What You'll Do: - You will lead the development and deployment of scalable machine learning models to enhance customer experiences. - You will collaborate with cross-functional teams including data scientists, engineers, and product managers to define AI strategies. - You will mentor and guide engineering teams to adopt best practices in machine learning and software development. - You will research and integrate emerging AI technologies to maintain Capital One’s competitive edge. - You will design robust data pipelines and feature engineering processes to support model training and evaluation. - You will ensure the reliability, security, and compliance of machine learning systems in production. - You will communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. - You will contribute to thought leadership by publishing papers, presenting at conferences, and participating in industry forums. What You Bring: - You have 10+ years of experience in machine learning, data science, or related fields. - You possess advanced proficiency in Python, TensorFlow, PyTorch, or similar ML frameworks. - You have a strong background in statistical modeling, deep learning, and algorithm development. - You demonstrate expertise in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud. - You have experience leading large-scale ML projects and mentoring engineering teams. - You hold a Master’s or PhD degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related discipline. Bonus Points If You Have: - Experience with natural language processing (NLP) and computer vision applications. - Familiarity with MLOps tools and practices for continuous integration and deployment. - Prior experience in the financial services industry or fintech startups. - Contributions to open-source ML projects or active participation in AI research communities.
