Basic Summary In this role, you will be the friendly face and trusted advisor for our valued customers, providing personalized assistance to every current or prospective customer interaction. Customer Service and Sales Representatives (CSSRs) work to maximize positive customer experiences by responding to customer inquiries or complains regarding our company's products or services. They will communicate with current and prospective customers about basic underwriting guidelines, policies, and marketing initiatives to service client accounts. Additionally, CSSRs will analyze, clarify, and resolve policy and account-related questions. The position of Customer Service and Sales Representative offers not only the opportunity for retention but agency growth through the expansion of a household by means of cross-selling multiple lines of business. This action generates better client retention within the agency as well as new business growth. Responsibilities • Engage with customers in a welcoming and professional manner, actively listening to understand their needs and preferences • Provide accurate product information, answer questions, and offer tailored recommendations to enhance the customer experience • Promote and upsell products or services that align with customer interests, contributing to sales goals • Process transactions efficiently using point-of-sale systems while ensuring accuracy and security • Maintain an active Texas Property & Casualty license (or be able to obtain one within 30 days of hire) • Assist in new client onboarding by following up with customers post-purchase to ensure satisfaction and build ongoing relationships • Collaborate with team members to achieve agency targets, follow agency best practices, and contribute to a positive company culture inside and outside of the office. Requirements • Demonstrated experience in customer service or sales, with a passion for helping others • Strong written and verbal communication skills—friendly, clear, and confident in interactions with diverse customers • Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail • Proactive attitude with a desire to learn about products, sales techniques, and growth opportunities with our agency • Ability to work in-office during normal business hours (hybrid work-from-home opportunities also available) • Ability to meet or exceed individual performance metrics and goals • A positive mindset focused on teamwork, problem-solving, and delivering outstanding service • Willingness to make positive contributions to our in-office company culture through participation in trainings, attending required meetings (in-person or via Zoom), and always seeing today, tomorrow and next week as a new opportunity for growth Join us as a Customer Service and Sales Representative where your enthusiasm fuels success!
