Role Summary The Program Coordinator provides operational coordination, administrative support, project management and systems oversight for the Phase 2 of our community Disaster Recovery resilience project which will work in a focused way with Disaster Case Management teams and other groups supporting Hurricanes Helene and Milton disaster survivors around the state of Florida. This role ensures that Community Case Managers and Community Support Coaches/Therapists are supported, organized, and able to focus on fieldwork. The Coordinator also synthesizes statewide insights and progress into weekly program-level reporting. Why this Role Is Different? This is not admin support. This is operational disaster program leadership at a small scale. Core Responsibilities Team Support Support onboarding and orientation of new community case managers Host daily check-in calls for the team in the field and team motivation, program momentum Identify operational gaps or needs and elevate them appropriately Operational Coordination Schedule and manage daily team check-in calls Track staff schedules, coverage, and assignments Serve as the primary administrative point of contact for the project Reporting & Synthesis Collect and compile daily reports from Community Case Managers into weekly reports Synthesize recurrent themes, trends, and progress into a weekly program summary Track overall program momentum and engagement Help develope tools, templates, and expectations that are clear and helpful Timeframe & Commitment Role Type: Independent Contractor Duration: 8–12 weeks Expected Commitment: 30–40 hours/week Temporary, grant-funded position 6-10 hours a day at your discretion (Part-time to full-time depending on your availability), Approximately 4 Days per week is optimal for the position Hybrid in person in St Petersburg FL and virtual with teammates out of the area, with occasional travel as needed. Expected to be consistently available during standard business hours for coordination and team support Basic Qualifications Strong organizational and communication skills Ability and Highly motivated to make real results and community impact Experience in program coordination, disaster response, or human services preferred Comfortable managing multiple moving parts in a fast-paced environment Flexible with changing program as disaster landscapes can evolve and present new challenges Strong written synthesis skills Hours Structure Daily coordination + team calls Weekly synthesis and reporting Light supervision / guidance of CCMs Acts as program field intelligence aggregator - summarize and support the work of the community case managers Characteristics of a great candidate understand LTR and disaster case management and related challenges and workflows, Empathize with the kinds of challenges survivors and case managers face recognize what “real progress” looks like in long-term recovery, and help guide CCMs toward meaningful impact rather than surface activity. Mandatory Qualifications Direct experience in Long term recovery and/or Disaster Case Management Hands-on involvement and willingness to get out and be active in the field Familiarity with: FEMA / state recovery structures VOAD or multi-agency coordination Case management fatigue, burnout, system bottlenecks Compensation Pay Rate: $30–38/hour (likely to be set up on a per-day pay rate) Pay Structure: Temporary, grant-funded Ind Contractor position Pay Schedule: Biweekly Travel Stipend will be included as field activity as needed. YOu will be building on the work of Phase one, where we had 7 facilitators provide resilince workshops thorughout the disaster impacted region and make meaningful inroads with 2000+ people.
