Lead pre-sales technical discovery, architect solutions, create proposals, and support client engagements in digital banking.
3+ years in client-facing technical roles in financial services or FinTech with strong communication and project management skills.
Job Description: • Lead pre-sales discovery and consultative engagements with prospects and account executives to deeply understand their business model, strategic goals, and technical requirements. • Architect and recommend best-fit solutions—standard, configured, or custom—that align with both the prospect’s needs and Candescent’s delivery capabilities. • Create clear, compelling solution designs, including architecture diagrams, product configurations, integration approaches, and implementation roadmaps. • Set accurate expectations with prospects and internal teams through formal assessments, workshops, and collaboration with subject-matter experts. • Own the technical and functional sections of proposals and ensure all solution details are accurately reflected in the CRM and proposal documentation. • Collaborate on responses to RFIs/RFPs in partnership with the Proposal team. • Provide warm handoff and post-sale transition support for complex implementations and competitive conversions. • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the competitive landscape, Candescent’s product roadmap, and industry trends in digital banking. • Act as a trusted advisor by answering technical and strategic questions from prospects, clients, and internal teams within established SLAs. • Contribute to retention and expansion efforts by identifying upsell/cross-sell opportunities during client engagements. Requirements: • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience. • 3+ years of progressive experience in a client-facing technical role (Solutions Architect, Pre-Sales Engineer, Technical Consultant, or similar) within financial services, FinTech, or digital/online banking. • Proven project management and stakeholder management skills in a sales or delivery context. • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (especially PowerPoint, Excel, Visio), CRM systems (Salesforce, Dynamics, etc.), and collaboration tools. • Demonstrated ability to break down complex problems, make sound assumptions, and drive toward actionable solutions independently. • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with experience presenting to both technical and executive audiences. • Ability to rapidly master new technologies, banking concepts, and Candescent’s product capabilities. • Self-motivated, proactive, and comfortable working independently in a fast-paced environment. • Willingness to travel approximately 10% as needed. Benefits: • Health insurance • 401(k) matching • Flexible working hours • Paid time off • Remote work options
