Requires 10+ years in technical sales/business development in critical infrastructure or energy, with deep knowledge of data center power systems and proven success in closing multi-million-dollar deals.
Job Description: • Responsible for the Hyperscaler and Data Center Owner/Operator relationships • Help solve for challenges in grid availability, power quality, energy resilience • Offer/negotiate use of bankable and reliable Canadian Solar critical power infrastructure products • Lead commercial engagements with Tier 1 Hyperscalers (AWS, Google, Meta, Microsoft, Oracle) • Engage directly with Data Center Architects, Electrical Engineers, Procurement Leaders, and Infrastructure Owner/Operators to structure deals • Map the decision-making matrix within Hyperscale organizations • Orchestrate complex deals that may involve multiple technologies • Participate in high-level technical sales engagements • Advocate for SCADA and control systems as vital cybersecurity assets • Act as a bridge between the customer’s technical roadmap and product engineering teams Requirements: • 10+ years of technical sales &/or business development experience in the Critical Infrastructure or Energy sector • Deep functional knowledge of the data center power stack • Experience selling or managing at least three of the following: Power Generation (Turbines, Fuel Cells, Gensets, or Renewables), Power Conversion Devices (Inverters, Rectifiers, Transformers), Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) technologies, SCADA / Controls & Cybersecurity (OT Security standards) • Proven track record of closing complex, multi-million-dollar infrastructure deals with Hyperscalers, large Co-location providers, or EPCs • Bachelor’s degree in electrical or mechanical engineering is highly preferred. MBA is a plus. • Understanding of utility interconnection challenges, microgrid architectures, and the regulatory landscape for behind-the-meter power • High level of critical and logical thinking, analysis, and/or reasoning to identify underlying principles, reasons, or facts • Excellent interpersonal relations and ability to work with others effectively in teams • Self-motivated and able to work independently and proactively with minimal supervision • Excellent organizational, strategic, planning and implementing skills • Ability to travel as required – expected travel requirement approximately 30-50%.
