The Director of Product Management is a hybrid leadership role responsible for the full lifecycle of the product portfolio—specifically the MedRX Tray, Respan, and Stadco product lines manufactured by CHS. This position bridges the gap between product management and strategic marketing, leading a team of 3–5 direct reports. You will act as the "Voice of the Customer" (VOC), translating market needs into actionable inputs for development, while also leading commercial launch strategies and critical bid submissions. You will hold full responsibility for the Sales and GP $ performance of the platform, driving demand through data-led forecasting and overseeing high-level marketing strategies. This role requires a passion for process improvement, data analytics, and a proven track record of developing talent. Essential Duties and Responsibilities People Leadership & Team Development • Direct Management: Manage, mentor, and develop a team of 3–5 direct reports (e.g., Product Managers, Marketing Associates). • Performance Management: Responsible for hiring, conducting performance reviews, setting annual objectives, and providing regular coaching to ensure team KPIs are met. • Resource Allocation: Delegate tasks effectively across the team to balance strategic initiatives (NPD) with day-to-day operational support. Product Management & Development (MedRX Focus) • MedRX, Stadco, Respan Change Management: Own and manage a robust product change process for manufactured product lines. Ensure all changes to components, Bills of Materials (BOMs), and configurations are executed seamlessly with minimal disruption to the customer. • Voice of Customer (VOC): Actively engage with customers and sales teams to gather insights and provide data-driven input into New Product Development (NPD) opportunities. • Product Lifecycle Management: Manage the roadmap from concept to end-of-life, ensuring the portfolio meets current market needs and profitability targets. • Process Improvement: Champion continuous process improvement initiatives within the product management and marketing functions to increase speed-to-market and operational efficiency. Marketing, RFPs & Demand Generation • RFP & Tender Management: Lead the strategic response to Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and tenders. Review and approve all submissions to ensure product positioning, pricing, and technical specifications are accurate, competitive, and aligned with brand strategy. • Launch Excellence: Lead the go-to-market strategy for new products, ensuring Sales, Operations, and Customer Service are aligned for successful commercial launches. • Digital Strategy Oversight: Guide the Digital Marketing Manager in the creation and execution of campaigns via email, LinkedIn, and other channels to drive lead generation and brand awareness. • Strategic Planning: Develop marketing business plans, value propositions, and positioning strategies for the portfolio. Data, Analytics & Financials • Forecasting & Demand Planning: Utilize business intelligence tools to create accurate forecasts and demand plan models. This is critical for inventory management and supply chain alignment. • Budget Responsibility: Has full responsibility for the revenue and gross profit of the platform; analyze margins and pricing to maximize customer value and company profit. Knowledge, Experience & Education • Education: Bachelor’s Degree (BS or BA) from an accredited University; Master’s Degree or MBA preferred. • Experience: 7+ years of related experience in Product Management and Marketing, preferably within the medical device or healthcare sector. • Management Experience: Minimum 3+ years of experience managing direct reports, with a demonstrated ability to build culture and develop high-performing teams. • Specific Expertise: • Proven experience managing complex product lines. • Demonstrated success in New Product Development (NPD) and commercial launches. • Strong background in data analytics and demand forecasting. • Extensive familiarity with the RFP/Tender process and experience reviewing complex bid submissions. Technical Skills • Advanced proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint). • Experience with Business Intelligence (BI) tools and CRM platforms. • Ability to interpret complex data sets to create demand models and financial forecasts.
