This is a temp-to-hire opportunity offering competitive pay and long-term potential. Job Summary The Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily production activities, supervising employees, ensuring quality and productivity goals are met, and maintaining a safe and organized shop floor. Key Responsibilities • Supervise and coordinate production activities within the department • Lead, coach, and manage hourly employees • Ensure production schedules, quality standards, and productivity goals are achieved • Promote teamwork across production lines and shifts • Monitor and enforce safety, housekeeping, and maintenance standards • Train employees on job functions and safety requirements • Participate in quality control and corrective action processes • Ensure work instructions, setup sheets, and quality documents are current and followed • Monitor scrap levels and implement corrective actions • Support continuous improvement initiatives • Lead production meetings and communicate expectations clearly • Address employee performance issues and administer discipline when necessary • Maintain training matrices, attendance, time entry, and vacation schedules • Schedule overtime as required • Complete employee performance evaluations • Be available for off-shift communication as needed Qualifications • High School Diploma required (college coursework or degree preferred) • 3+ years of manufacturing or assembly experience • Supervisory experience preferred • Union experience preferred • Strong problem-solving and data analysis skills • Project management and multitasking abilities • Excellent communication and leadership skills • Proficient with Microsoft Office and Windows-based systems • Basic mechanical aptitude with strong attention to detail • Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment • Flexible to work overtime and weekends as needed Send your resume to brittany@canadianexecutivesearch.com
