This role ensures adherence to policies and procedures, manages vendor relationships, supports audit and risk management activities, and leads initiatives to enhance service delivery and operational efficiency across the retail banking network. The Retail Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the operational, compliance, and control functions of banking centers. These responsibilities include ensuring an operationally sound operating environment through strong policies, procedures and practices and monitoring; administering key banking center operating systems; supporting strategic initiatives impacting the operating environment; creating additional business development capacity for banking centers and fostering knowledgeable stakeholders as it pertains to operations and will require ongoing collaboration with partners often serving as the primary voice for the Retail Division. This position offers qualified internal candidates the flexibility of hybrid work from any Camden National Bank location across Maine and New Hampshire. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Coordinate activities to implement the Bank’s policies, procedures and practices concerning banking center activities and the integration of these activities with operational support areas Participate in strategic projects impacting the banking center operating environment Support Retail Regional Directors and other business partners on strategic initiatives involving banking centers Analyze activities, costs, operations and forecast data to determine banking center progress toward goals and objectives. This includes expertise and oversight to the Retail budget planning Ensure compliance of stakeholders throughout the retail division through established standard policies and procedures, as well as collaborating with the Risk division to implement changes as risk evolves Lead a team of knowledgeable stakeholders on the Retail ASSIST team, our one stop answer line for banking centers Lead the other key programs including the bank’s overdraft and ATM programs Oversee systems management for several critical retail and company computer programs including but not limited to Silverlake, OnBoard and Synapsys Compile and oversee reports on operating functions of banking centers Engage with internal and external audit and legal teams to ensure conformance of compliance and legal positions of the bank Manage multiple vendors to provide critical functions to the operations of the bank and quality service to our customers. Basic Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university, or 10 years related experience and/or training Expert banking knowledge of account structure, transaction processing and compliance requirements Demonstrated ability to work in a team atmosphere without supervision Preferred Qualifications: 10+ years of experience with System Administration, including experience with current Camden National Bank core systems: Silverlake, OnBoard, Synapsys, Synergy, etc. Understanding of the business line’s goals and operations Expertise in use of research tools and methodology for completion of timely research projects Ability to guide, direct and motivate a team to deliver top-notch service and support to stakeholders across the entire retail banking footprint, while maintaining the integrity of systems and processes to support our business Skills and Abilities: Expert technical, analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to effectively communicate and articulate by means of verbal and written communication in a clear, efficient and compelling manner Strong knowledge of banking operations, compliance, and risk management frameworks Experience in vendor management and systems administration Analytical skills for data interpretation and performance evaluation Leadership and project management capabilities Excellent communication and collaboration skills Supervisory Skills: Responsible for managing a team of various grades and expertise, while also indirectly influencing the management of the entire banking center network of stakeholders The statements contained herein reflect general details as necessary to describe the principle functions for this job, the level of knowledge and skill typically required, and the scope of responsibility, but should not be considered an all-inclusive listing of work requirements.
