Overview We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Originator / Referral Partner specializing in Specialty Finance & Lender Finance to join our remote team. This role is ideal for professionals with a strong background in financial sales, loan origination, and customer service within the financial services industry. The successful candidate will play a key role in developing client relationships, generating referral opportunities, and supporting our lending operations through effective communication and industry expertise. Duties • Cultivate and maintain relationships with referral sources, including brokers, real estate agents, and financial institutions. • Identify potential clients and generate new business opportunities through proactive outreach and networking. • Educate clients on various loan products, including FNMA guidelines, mortgage servicing, and specialized finance options. • Collaborate with internal teams to facilitate loan origination processes, ensuring compliance with TILA, Fair Housing regulations, and other legal requirements. • Assist clients throughout the loan process by providing exceptional customer service and guiding them through underwriting, loan processing, and contract negotiations. • Utilize financial software such as Quicken, accounting software, and other banking tools to track leads, manage client data, and document interactions accurately. • Conduct credit analysis and basic math calculations to assess client eligibility and prepare necessary documentation for loan approval. • Stay informed about industry trends related to mortgage origination, escrow procedures, and financial services to better serve clients and referral partners. • Ensure adherence to all regulatory standards including FNMA guidelines, TILA disclosures, and Fair Housing regulations during all stages of client engagement. Experience • Proven experience in financial sales, loan origination, or loan officer roles within the mortgage or financial services sector. • Familiarity with FNMA, mortgage servicing, underwriting, credit analysis, and related regulatory frameworks such as TILA. • Strong skills in negotiation, contracts management, and customer service with an emphasis on building long-term relationships. • Proficiency in using financial software, including Quicken, accounting software, banking platforms, and financial software tools for data management. • Ability to perform basic math calculations accurately (10 key typing, math skills) essential for credit assessment and financial analysis. • Knowledge of Fair Housing regulations and experience working within legal compliance standards relevant to mortgage lending. • Excellent communication skills with a demonstrated ability to educate clients about complex financial products while maintaining professionalism remotely.
