Design, build, and maintain backend services and frontend experiences for a secure verification platform in a fast-paced early-stage environment.
3+ years full stack/backend experience, proficiency in Go and TypeScript, experience with AI-assisted development, scalable cloud applications, and strong problem-solving skills.
About the Role Our Client is looking for a Full Stack Engineer to build the systems behind Proof of Reality. You will design and ship the backend and frontend that power hardware-free palm verification at scale, working directly with the founding team before a formal engineering function exists. Strong candidates are pragmatic builders who care about performance, security, and shipping fast in an early-stage environment. We build with AI, not around it: the team uses AI coding tools like Claude Code, Codex, and Cursor every day. We care as much about your judgment in reviewing what they produce as the speed they give you — in a fraud and biometrics product, knowing when the model is wrong is the job. What You’ll Do • Design, build, and maintain backend services and APIs that power verification platform. • Build front-end experiences and integrate them cleanly with backend systems. • Ship scalable, secure, cloud-based infrastructure across our stack. • Work directly with product and the founding team to turn ideas into shipped features quickly. • Optimize, troubleshoot, and harden existing code as the product grows. What You’ll Bring • 3+ years building production software as a full stack or backend engineer. • Strong foundation in software development, object-oriented programming, database design, and API development. • Proficiency in Go and TypeScript — our backend is Go and our web stack is React/Next.js — with comfort working across the front-end and back-end boundary. Python is a plus. • Fluency with AI-assisted development. You use tools like Claude Code, Codex, or Cursor in your daily workflow and have a clear sense of where they help, where they don’t, and how to review AI-generated code critically. • Experience with scalable, cloud-based applications. • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to thrive in a collaborative, early-stage team. Strong Candidates May Also Have • Experience with AI, biometrics, privacy, or security-sensitive systems. • A track record shipping products from zero to one without a defined playbook. • Hands-on experience with agentic or autonomous coding tools — e.g., OpenClaw or Hermes Agent — beyond the mainstream assistants. • Familiarity with crypto, identity, or digital trust as a product category. • Remote. US-based only. (SF, NYC, Miami preferred)
