The Program Director is responsible for the administration of a treatment program, including ensuring that all program operations, procedures, clinical services, and staff practices comply with established hospital policies and procedures, applicable federal laws, rules and regulations, state licensing requirements, and Joint Commission standards. The Program Director has overall supervisory responsibility for the nursing staff, Program Assistant, Nursing Coordinator, and Office Professionals assigned to the Program. The Program Director must have effective communication skills and good organizational skills, be able to collaborate with a variety of disciplines and Departments throughout the hospital, the ability to plan and coordinate a mental health treatment program, and the ability to analyze complex problems and take appropriate action.
