The Center for Laboratory Sciences (CLS) is based on the Richmond Campus which employs more than 1,200 people. The Richmond Campus is a flat, 29-acre property located in Richmond's Marina Bay. The Staff Services Manager (SSM) I, acting as the Administrative Support Supervisor in the Center for Laboratory Sciences (CLS), Operations Branch, provides fiscal and budgets support, as well as expenditure activities; assisting in planning and coordination of Branch drills and assignments, overseeing the development of contracts, project tracking, and providing technical assistance and training as necessary to lower level staff; and leadership to ensure Branch/ Program efficiencies. Provides expert advice and consultation to CLS management regarding its overall fiscal and budgetary operations. Evaluates the overall budget and tracks funding received from various funds (General, Federal and Special) in millions annually for clinical laboratory services and testing services under multiple programs within the California Department of Public Health (CDPH). The incumbent works under the general direction of the Budget & Fiscal Manager, Staff Services Manager II of the Center for Laboratory Sciences Operations Branch.
