Overview Café Steam is a welcoming and vibrant café, serving delicious breakfast options and a variety of coffee and fresh menu items. We are looking for a dedicated and motivated Line Cook to join our team! If you love cooking, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and have a passion for creating amazing food, we’d love to hear from you. We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Head to lead our kitchen. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in food service, kitchen management, and culinary arts, with a focus in breakfast. This role involves overseeing daily operations, ensuring food safety standards, and maintaining high-quality meal preparation in a fast-paced environment. The Head will play a pivotal role in menu planning, staff supervision, and maintaining the highest standards of food handling and presentation. Duties • Prepare and cook breakfast items and café menu items to order • Ensure all dishes are prepared to the highest quality and standards • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen space • Work closely with the kitchen team to ensure efficient food service • Follow food safety and cleanliness protocols • Assist in inventory management and stock control • Help with prep work as needed • Passion for cooking and creating great food • Must be able to work early mornings, weekends • Maintain inventory levels and order supplies as needed for smooth kitchen operations • Monitor kitchen cleanliness and sanitation standards regularly • Implement quality control measures to uphold the restaurant’s reputation for excellence Skills • Prior line cook or kitchen experience (preferred) • Strong understanding of food safety and kitchen hygiene • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle high-volume orders • Team player with excellent communication skills • Excellent communication skills to coordinate with staff and management effectively This position offers an opportunity to lead a dynamic culinary team dedicated to delivering exceptional dining experiences while maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality. Job Type: Full-time Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour Work Location: In person
