Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our team at our bustling café. As a Barista, you will play a vital role in creating a welcoming atmosphere for our customers while preparing and serving high-quality coffee and food items. Your ability to engage with customers, manage time effectively, and provide exceptional service will contribute to the overall success of our café. Responsibilities • Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and food items according to established recipes and standards. • Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system for cash handling and processing customer transactions efficiently. • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including equipment, utensils, and seating areas. • Provide excellent customer service by engaging with patrons, taking orders accurately, and addressing any inquiries or concerns. • Assist with inventory management by monitoring stock levels of ingredients and supplies. • Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during peak hours. • Uphold food safety standards and regulations in all food handling practices. • Cleaning, washing dishes, mopping and overall cleaning tasks will be performed during and after each shift. Experience • Previous experience in food service or café environments is preferred but not required. • Familiarity with coffee preparation techniques is a plus. • Strong cash handling skills and basic math proficiency for accurate transaction processing. • Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment. • A friendly demeanor with strong communication skills to help create a positive customer experience. • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated when needed.
