ServiceNow UI Designer/ Engineer Job Category: Information Technology Time Type: Full time Minimum Clearance Required to Start: Secret Employee Type: Regular Percentage of Travel Required: Up to 10% Type of Travel: Continental US * * * The Opportunity: CACI is seeking a highly creative and user-focused UI Designer/ Engineer to join our team supporting the Department of the Air Force (DAF) Enterprise IT as a Service (EITaaS) program and play a vital role in shaping the user experience for our hardware and software asset management systems. This role involves designing intuitive and engaging interfaces for both software and hardware asset management applications while ensuring seamless and efficient asset management processes. You will be responsible for understanding user needs, creating innovative design solutions, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional user experiences. Responsibilities: UI/UX Design for Asset Management Systems: Design intuitive and user-friendly interfaces for software applications used to manage hardware and software assets. Design user- role-based interfaces to enable these roles to perform their daily functions while minimizing training and clicking in the system. Create wireframes, prototypes, mockups, and high-fidelity designs to effectively communicate design ideas and concepts for both software and hardware translating business and functional requirements Ensure designs are responsive and accessible across a variety of devices and environments (e.g., mobile devices, desktop computers and laptops). Develop and support implementation of front-end solutions using ServiceNow Service Portal, UI Builder, or the Now Experience Framework. Ensuring adherence to platform architecture, design and standards. User Research and Analysis: Conduct user research to understand user needs, pain points, and workflows related to asset management. Gather and analyze user feedback to inform design decisions. Develop user personas and user journey maps to guide the design process. Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to define product requirements and design solutions. Present design concepts and rationale to stakeholders, clearly articulating design decisions. Participate in design reviews and provide constructive feedback to other designers, developers and architects. Usability Testing and Iteration: Develop and conduct usability testing to validate design solutions for both software and hardware interfaces. Analyze usability testing results and iterate on designs based on user feedback. Qualifications: Required: • Current Secret Security Clearance (highly desired) or the ability to obtain/maintain Secret clearance 15+ Years of relevant experience (Bachelor’s Degree in applicable field may be substituted for 5 years of experience). 3+ years of experience as a UI/UX Designer or Front-End Engineer designing enterprise applications. Hands-on experience designing for or working within ServiceNow, especially SAM and/or HAM modules. Strong understanding of IT asset lifecycle processes and user roles (e.g., requesters, custodians, approvers, technicians). Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, InVision, or Sketch. Front-end development experience using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks like Bootstrap. Experience designing in ServiceNow Service Portal or using UI Builder / Now Experience components. Desired: • Experience with ServiceNow Software Asset Management (SAM Pro) and Hardware Asset Management (HAM Pro) implementations. • Familiarity with asset data normalization, catalog items, workspaces and compliance dashboards. • Knowledge of ITIL, CMDB, and Procure-to-Retire (P2R) lifecycle in ServiceNow. • Experience in Agile environments, including working in sprints with cross-functional teams. - ________________________________________________________________________________________ What You Can Expect: A culture of integrity.
